Yada yada yada..preaching about democarcy and constitutional monarchy....WE ALL KNOW SAiF's title has no legal bearing...but he's blue blooded and that comes with a lot of priveleges that not money can buy.
Honestly I feel really sorry for people like you; who are obsessed with 'certain celebs' who have to compare someone or the other (also totally irrelevant to the post + comments) in almost all the posts. Did I even bring ASH into this? OR any other name?
And since you have done so here's your answer - where Ash/Abhi wedding pics are concerned, they never were high quality & clearly taken from mobile phones, most of them badly lit.
This is a proper OFFICIAL photograph, that have been released among some other photos. Some others where Kareena is posing with Manish Malhotra are also proper candid photos. So stop comparing one to other cuz its not the same at all.

Besides, unlike other former Nawabs that were earlier hired by the Mughal Emperors, the first Pataudi Nawab was only appointed by a British General. The Pataudi Nawab was basically just a puppet administrator to fulfill British aspirations, a duty which expired at Independence when their British bosses packed up and shoved off.
It's nice to have family traditions and heirloom outfits but holding on to a false or abolished title is what a pretender does. Definition of pretender: A pretender is one who claims entitlement to an unavailable position of honour or rank. Most often it refers to a former monarch, or descendant thereof, whose throne is occupied or claimed by a rival, or has been abolished.

And even in England, where Queen is the constitutional monarch, she is mainly a figurehead, with no involvement in the running of the country...and the royal family is often widely criticised for their lavish lifestyle and unnecessary pomp in a time of worldwide economic collapse.

the only thing i am wondering in this whole wedding... how are these "official" photos getting out everyday? She was pretending to be all "private" in all her heroine promotional interviews about the wedding, and saying "Me and Saif don't understand the fuss about our personal lives"

Saif looks great. Kareena's expression is kind of weird, but I get why she may have had reasons to wear this thing, whatever it is called. I just find it a bit strange that people like Sharmilla and Saif want to hang on to remnants of an era that celebrated so much inequality and excess. It would've been cool to figure out another way to pay respect to their family without celebrating weird royal legacies. Then again, they are totally not as bad as the British royals, who kind of make me sick the way they celebrate their totally violent history.

Well said, it's Nabby H comparing the Queen to Saif Ali Khan. There shouldn't be a comparison as the Queen is powerful in monarchy politically and socially, even though she isn't Head of the State...Saif Ali Khan isn't even in politics and royal only in formality.

No. As far as I can remember, Saif and Amrita eloped and got married. I don't think either of their families were present, or at least the parents. Again, I may be wrong, but that was the rumor.

The queen does not have any 'constitutional rights' yes ge is royalty and in word she has 'decision making' powrr...but in reality she does niot hve any power!
It is run by the government at the time and whichever party is in power.
The bill surely does have the stage of going past the queen authority stage but the queen cannot say no to a bill! It is what you learn in law courses.
