Sanjay Dutt wants only Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for 'Satte Pe Satta' remake
Sanjay Dutt is keen on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the female lead in his Satte Pe Satta remake If all goes well, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing Sanjay Dutt's wife, in the Satte Pe Satta remake produced by Dutt's production house. Says an insider, "We don't know how the rumour started that Vidya Balan had been signed to play Sanju's wife in Satte Pe Satta. Nobody even approached her. Dutt is extremely keen that we sign Aishwarya to play the female lead opposite him. He is adamant that only Ash fits the role. The actress is keen on the idea of doing the film if everything else works out." The source adds, "The script writer along with the director of Satta Pe Satta, Soham Shah, will fly down to all the way to New Zealand next week to give her a story narration. Ash is holidaying there with husband Abhishek, who is shooting in Wellington for Abbas-Mastan's Players, along with Sonam Kapoor." Bipasha Basu and Arshad Warsi have already been signed for supporting roles in the film.

Karis would be great for the role...Ash looks awful these days..dunno why she had to spoil her gorgeous face with botox...she looked terrible in the 70s style movie
according to me, vidya, karishma and even kajol are gr8 choices. even madhuri is nt bad fer the role, bt i dun think she would want 2 wrk wt her ex and arouse contriversies.
She's the only one old enough and looks old to act with him.

It's because people are willing to pay money to watch someone who cannot act but just look good with professional styling and make up.
i love the original 'SPS' and to be honest, don't know why ppl are out there to ruin classics by remaking 'em. sometimes, somethings should be left alone, if it aint broken, dont fix it.
Anyways, recollecting the past film, hema malini was in the lead opposite Amitabh. And when I visualize a present day actor, Aishwarya does fit the bill. She'll suit the character, visually and in general. I think she should go for it if they do go ahead with this project.

i guess sanjay dutt knows that she suits his age...i mean she is 37 and the rest of the girls who are in demand will look pretty young with him,ash will look very compatible with him, she doesn't have a choice either...she has already worked with akskay,abhi and hrithik this year...and she doesn't get along with the rest of the main male actors of btown and the remaining s are very young for her......sanjay might not be as big as khans or hrithik...but he is good,and their pairing should look good!!!
vidya can & will do justice to the role, as far as Ash jee is thought, it ain't going to work for her . :((

Duh. Satte Pe Satta is a contemporary movie. And FYI, Aishwarya got good feedback for her performance in Action Replayy despite average reviews. Same with Umrao Jaan... she was outstanding in the film
That said, I don't think pairing up with Sanju is a good idea.
She will not want to do it. She has bigger stuff coming up....
Why is that Aishwarya is always in demand? No, I'm not a hater or something but if she is in demand even Madhuri, Rani, Preity etc deserve to be in demand. Why do they have to do some stupid reality shows while Aishwarya is working on the biggest of ambitious projects?

Ash had two superhits in 2010 and one critically acclaimed film which even fetched her some awards... she obviously is still in demand. But I really hope she doesn't do this film. She needs better co-stars not oldies like Dutt.

aish is going to rein this movie, like umrao jaan..such a disaster, kip vidya shes consistent with hits and shes a better actress then aish.

let's clear it ...sanju is not wanting Aish becos of her popularity or acting talent...Sanju once said no producer ever pairs him with a good looking actress...and Sanju was all over Aish in 'Shabd'....I guess that is why he wants her...and no producers are taking Aish anymore...so if only Sanju recommends or is adament, things might work out both of their favors.....one caution to Sanju, do not spend too much money on the movies if you want slightest recovery, taking Aish is a huge risk, you don;t want to risk your finance as well........and did I read it correctly that they are holidaying In NZ?...so when do they act actually?...no wonder their movies are flops
wow, Vidya was perfect for this role, I really do not think Ash can pull this one.. Vidya was perfect..
I guess Aish and Abhi only holidays when they are in their shooting locales...that is why their acting are so poor and movies turn out to be flops
