he is looking old because of makeup.he is supposed to have a stooped posture and a slightly retarded look as he is playing an person with aspergers syndrome. its a disease similar to autism, except in autism they are not socially aware and language is poor, here he will have ok language and social skills but obessesd with certain things like in autism, with temper tantrums etc. so it is a film about a muslim kidnapped by terrorists, who is an aspergers syndrome case and how complex his relationship is with kajol because of his disease
