"i find her performances to be very close to reality and very natural". Exactly. She does not overact (did you see her in the Bahara bahara song in IHLS! so soft, sweet and natural. Not forced), she does not make strange faces (that's sooo 1980's!) to make a point and her entire body language is just as if you were watching a real person. I love her and I think Bollywood will soon catch up with her. They are just a bit stuck in the past still. :-)))
I think the official promo should be out in June first week, if it is releasing on July 22nd. tht will help the film be fresh in the memories of the audience bcoz in a way the one promo is already out in the form of 2 dozen pictures & a few on-set shooting clips...... ! The film looks exciting and I'm eager to watch it. The look & feel of the film is nice. Really wish Shahid, Sonam & Pankaj Kapoor lots of good luck with "Mausam". & i never imagined they'll look so good together. They make a really nice pair. Lovely.
If one closely observes Shahid's choice of films, he hasnt really done many hard-core love-stories. Irrespective of his few initial films not doing well at the BO, all those films had different stories.
Ishq-Vishik, ViVah & Jab We Met were the only hard-core love stories and all worked excellently for him. Also Kismat Connection was a love story but i feel somewhere the story b/w Raj and Priya wasnt emphasized as much, it only took off from the 2nd half and even then their romantic angle was short spaned and the focus turned to the 'Senior's home" in the second half again.
Anyways, I have always wanted to see Shahid in a Full Fledged Love-story. I hope We can see the more romantic, deep side of Shahid & his pairing with Sonam is so refreshing. I have been wanting to see sonam receive her due share of accolades, i find her performances to be very close to reality and very natural. YAyy!!! i'm so excited for Shahid.
Hey and just noticed that there are much of trash articles about Shahid. I'd prefer it this way than to read any boastful, unnecessary articles abt him every day. News is good when it makes sense, not otherwise. Hope His PR understands this.

Finally, a movie I am actually looking forward to. Shahid has a certain sadness in his eyes that just makes him the perfect, classic hero. And Sonam is just... ethereal, romantic, dramatic, the perfect heroine. There's so much of Scarlett O'Hara in her. Like I've said in other comments: she just needs to loosen up, let go! Don't worry about your dad's shadow, break free and find your own voice, Sona!

I just have a feeling that there will be no surprise element abt Mausam as already they're leaking out the whole look of the film. Shahid's PR is bad & also Mausam is being mishandled in they way they're giving out the looks of the film. I'm not sure if Shahid & Muasam's team are giving in to demands of the handfull of fans on twitter or wht., coz half of the Shahid's fanbase twitter dont even watch his films in theatres. The movie needs a major segment of general audience to make it a hit.
They've already released enough abt mausam they shoudnt give out the Promo anytime before 2 months of release. Mausam already has been talked abt a lot in the media. Now they need to stop talking and let their work do the talking.

My God!! I'm awestruck by how much 'old-world charm' these pictures have.. Cant wait to see them!! And Sonam has a feminity and je ne sais quoi that the blue eyed, pale skinned beauties of bollywood can only dream of possessing!!!
