i think the trade KNOWS just as much as the producer and they don't have haead stuck their rear ends !! :) no one accepts their failure ... heck even to this date, sajid nadiadwala argues har dil jo pyar karega is a blockbuster when the reality is the movie just abt managed to cross average verdict!! sarkar raj is proclaimed HIT by the makers to this date!!
all the top trades called it flop-below ave ... from komal nahata, taran adarsh, mohit sharma, ashok mehra, joginder tuteja and the most reliable of all BOXOFFICEINDIA !! so don't bring up the yash chopra knows more than u EXCUSE !! :)
P.S. he also argued tara rum pum, thoda pyar thoda magic, jhoom barabara jhoom and neil n nikki (uday... one can understand y) as hits proclaiming the movie is "ROCKING THE NATION or creating magic etc" ... the trade called him out on the spot and he felt like an idiot!!

most of the time, shahid apes others - SRK, Aamir, he does not have his own identity. SRK will always be SRK, no one can replace him, as he has his own identity, he never aped anyone.
i clearly said INDUSTRY age ... shahrukh delivered hits after hits his first 6 years in the industry !!!
and he clearly HAD no backing at that moment of time !! so don't insult srk by having his achievements being compared with shahid who is still in the the ranbir kapoor, emraan hashmi and imran khan league!!

Shahid is 28. He was 26 when he delivered JWM and SRK was 28 when he acted in DDLJ. Therefore, he is clearly on his way at a relatively young age. He is building up his fan base and he a moderate fan base at this point. It can go up and maybe in the next 2 or 3 years start becoming a huge fan base.

ISHQ VISHQ was AVERAGE GROSSER ... JWM was a hit *TRUE* ... vivah WAS a blockbuster coz of its distributor share, huge business in the interiors and low cost... kaminey was not a solid hit but surely a cult but more coz of VISHAL BHARDWAJ's directions and storytelling than shahid's acting!!
kismet konnection was an utter flop- below avg... it took a huge nose dive after 80% opening weekend!

It made something like 32 crores and its budget was 15 crores..As for Shahid being the next SRK I don't think so because I think he has made an identity out of his name..People know him now as Shahid Kapur not as Futur SRK or "the one who acts looks or does like SRK"
