Mukesh Bhatt To Ajay: Delay Release Of Son of Sardar As Tribute To Yash Chopra
Bollywood veterans Mukesh Bhatt is of the opinion that Ajay Devgn should reschedule the release of Son of Sardaar to ensure it does not clash with Yash Chopra's last directorial release 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. Bhatt was of the opinion that the issue has changed after Yash Chopra's demise and that it was time to rise above petty personal rivalries to give a tribute to one of Bollywood's best directors. Bhatt told Mumbai Mirror, "I think Ajay Devgn should move his film from the same date, Nov 13. When a legend speaks, you need to give him space." Further, he stressed, "We must stand together on Jab Tak Hai Jaan, instead of trying to prove an individual and personal point." As of now, there is no indication that Ajay is mulling a change in the release date despite the fact that the Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma starrer has ended up as the last time Yash Chopra actively participated in the making of a movie before his death.

who said that loving other's girlfriend or wife is romanticism in film industry and this is what YRF and SRK tied to. This is very bad trend for the society. SRK should do something good movies that people like. See Ajay, Aamir like people working hard for digging out the social problems thru acting... srk acting is nakkali... i think he should go back and go ahead with new version.

No sense. JTHJ will be a hit just because it has sentiments attached to it now else I don't see a single factor that can take the movie through. Ajay is a box office guarantee, far better than SRK. And everyone knows he speaks from his eyes he does not need to shed tears on screen like SRK has been doing since his debut and if you watch SRK seriously you'll see he always cries in the same manner in every movie.

Mukesh Bhatt is out of his mind i guess. He or one who advised him, is trying to make benefit of this situation . JTHJ should be delayed why SOS. How can you beg from someone whose against you are for the last couple of months. This is business, no can take losses to pay tribute. You see even JTHJ eams is going ahead to register cash diwali using the Spirit " the show must go on" and advising other to stop the show. What selfish and mean people.
How does allowing Yash Raj to make it's millions (which it already has in abundance) serve as a tribute to the deceased director. Remember Mr. Chopra for the art he brought to film making, not the hits he delivered, he even cited his flop films such as Lamhe to have been his favorites ! So no it's unnecessary and uncalled for to reschedule a release just so another film that will inevitably be a hit, regardless of the quality as compared to Chopra's other great works. In the same token Ajay may want to reconsider so he's more likely to get a better opening.

it is not correct to ask Ajay to change the release date. its business and thousands of people’s efforts are at stake and so is the big amount of Money. They have planned something and should go by their plan. If movie is good it will find success. It is SAD that Yash Raj has gone but it does not mean people should suffer their business to pay tribute. YRF camp should change their release date if they want a solo release to make this movie big. Why should other be bothered for that..

Neither film should be rescheduled. Let both be screened on level field. I am not a fan of Devgan, SRk is clearly the better actor. But they should both have equal opportunity with their films. As far as intelligence goes there is comparing, it is like night and day. SRK is such an intellectual. But that has nothing do with their movies thy are promoting. Clearly Katrina is not the better actress. Anushka steals the show! Katrina is just a pretty face but always stoic and glum. No chemistry there. Well let's wait and see how India votes in this on NOv 13th!

Bhatt has to think his own business and not advising Ajai, now i have more sympathy toward Ajai as there are many people teaching him what is good behave, my full support to Ajai and his movie SOS
SRK was seen dancing at Durga puja in Mumbai yesterday..I wonder what rubbish was written here by naive people about how sad, helpless and depressed SRK had become (lol). If he is not concerned then why should Ajay be? Its business, Whether SOS flops or not I don't know, but will Mukesh bhatt pay for Ajay's loses? Think before you open your mouth Mukesh Bhatt!

I watched this, not new thing but he also said in that party that he came because yashchopra always wanted people to be happy and that he can not do unfair to the organisers who paid money for that, also public have no guillt to cancel the show, he also was about to cry, tears appeared in his eyes but he tried to be steady, watch the full video.
no the anon who says ppl who weren't too keen on watching the film beforehand will now do so as a tribute to yash chopra is correct....cos i certainly belong in that category. i was not keen on this movie at all - but i will go watch ONLY AND ONLY for yashji. i've watched veer-zaara a couple of times since he died as well....
what's the connection between son of sardaar and yash chopra's film. Ajay should go ahead and release his film on the scheduled date...its yrf needs to change its date because of yash chopra's death..its plain ridiculous of what this mukesh bhatt is saying... How insensitive everybody knows the reason behind this movie's release...it's releasing on diwali...so Chopra scion should not thinking of laughing all the way to the bank....its a sad moment for them. They need to postpone the date....
