Shah Rukh Khan wants to build public utilities for women
"My choice of investment would be in public utilities for women all around the country, in small towns and villages. That is what I want to do. I want to dedicate my life to the cause. I want dignity and respect to be brought to women," the actor said. "I am going to earn enough money so that I don't have to ask an industrialist or a political party or anyone. I will do it on my own," Shah Rukh said, at the 'Express Adda', part of a series of conversations with newsmakers, hosted by the Indian Express, here last night. The superstar said he would like to undertake the project as a social service cause. "I think I am trying to follow it, it's a very small thing. But when I was young and I used to drive on the highways, I had this issue." "This (public utilities for women) is a very small issue really, so I don't think I need to be a prime minister for (accomplishing) that. I will be able to sort it out in the next five-six years. But I want to do it with my money. I want to do it through my films. I want to sell my soul if need be. I will get the money," he added.

Hats off to U SRK...its truly a great noble cause. Lack of such basic amenities is really a huge hassle and inconvenience not only to the poor but also the not so poor families traveling by roads and highways with little children. Roadside pit stops, bed and breakfasts and inns have some of the filthiest toilets ever and are hazardous to health. Thousands of women and children will forever be indebted to you. This is a gift that will keep giving and giving. Its like planting a roadside tree that will aid countless for a very long time and their prayers will bless U. And motivate many others to provide the same in their towns and cities as well.
I will pray with all my heart and soul that U make it come true. I wish to volunteer and join U in this endeavor. Please gimme a chance. I will be forever grateful.

I saw the live YouTube event and SRK smoked 8 cigarettes on stage openly during this even though he knew there was all this press and fans worldwide watching him live. It doesn't seem like that Indian law about smoking in public applies to him as he's very blatant so many times about his smoke
I wish he saved his cigarette money and 4 pack a day habit and instead gave that money to poor women in india
Why does he have to smoke during the interview? Can't he just not smoke for a lil bit? And if he respects women so much, he wouldn't be smoking next to one and exposing her to second hand smoke =/
