YESTERDAY mumbai mirror completely showed its dislike towards sonam's chopard appearance..a few days ago it bashed sonam's masaba sari..see..im not trying to prove a point anywhere here..aish is a superstar and we know it..ppl wil obviously favour her over sonam who is obviously lesser known..but everyday an indian designer is praisin sonam for her Gautier look..i don care a damn about an international critic..2day shobha de bashed aish's Elie Saab look!cant we just be happy that these were the sole representatives of our country who were actualy talked about??they made us proud and i end my debate here :)
that's the whole point, aish being a "veteran" either screws up or underwhelms with boring, safe outfits, while sonam has made a splash with not just her gown, but her attitude and poise. that's what's surprising. so yes, a comparison will be made, because after 10 years of practice and exposure, aishwarya still hasn't been able to buy any fashion sense despite her wealth and influence. and don't get me started on her OTT coquettish posing which looks absolutely ridiculous. you'd expect immature sonam at 25 to do that, yet she carried herself so elegantly and genuinely.
i quoted positive reviews of sonam and they didn't get posted. i quoted divanee.com (a site sujata linked to as a positive review of aish, which is partly was) observing aish's age showing on the red carpet over the years and again, it didn't get published. it's clear this site has an agenda, and being such a popular site aishwarya is really lucky to have her PR promoting her on here. i haven't seen another entertainment where aishwarya is represented like this.

every single person praised sonam except for that crap red carpet fashion awards(nvr heard about it bfore neway:P)sujata u must realise that not evry1's perfect..not sonam and not even aish!the only thing i dint like was her polka dot sari and that makeup..but newayz..dat was not on the red carpet so its fine!!!
These comments don't reflect any individuals personal choice of who looks more ravishing on the Cannes Red Carpet. It has turned out to be more of a heated debate in regards to Sonam VS Aishwarya! A pity indeed!

i had typed the reviews that aish got but somehow it never got posted..maybe bcoz u find my comments offensive?try and let me know if sonam got any other negative reviews from any other international critic.
all said and done..i dont think i need to prove to the world anymore that sonam was liked by one and all and i also know that she did receive some flak for her masaba sari on today's mumbai mirror paper and sujata do understand..not evry1's perfect..not SONAM and not even AISH :)

Khambi, hats off for at least bothering to post about Sonam's reviews. It's a pity that Aishwarya Rai is over-represented on this site by about 4 active members double-posting about her. Ms. Rai is very lucky to have a free PR machine in Sujata - this lady literally works around the clock when an Aish story breaks, she's really dedicated.
leave sujata alone, let her be happy for once. for the first time in 10 years aishwarya has received praise for both days. this is truly a cause for celebration. it took a decade, but aish finally arrived. phew.

this is not a competition. can we quit it please? sonam made a mark and that's all that matters. she has a long long way to go and the start has been fantastic! she looked stunning and that everyone agreed with...so can we please stop the whole ash is blah and sonam is blah thing? ash is a veteran of the red carpet i don't think she needs to compete with a 25 yr old! how ridiculous. each has her own place!

I searched in many websites that i could last time and there was only one website that didn't appreciate the WHOLE look of Aishwrya in the SECOND day! why u wanna search otherwise? why don't u better take yur time and search for more positives and negatives reviews from yur dear Sonam Kapoor???

sonam just rockrd the red carpet her dress was okay but the way she carried it was beautiful her attitude was very nice.....sonam was way better for her first time appearence dan aish....aish with all the beautiful dresses she looked sooo out of shape and her attitude was soooo dull and boring....

Fact is Sonam doesnot have a personal sense of style...she's all about labels and trends...keeps up with fashion blogs and the like and sees what fashion critics are saying...ends up making choices that she wouldn't if she didn't feel pressured to represent herself as a fashioneista which she clearly is not!
Props to her for looking so comfortable in a mosquito net...the dress however ridiculous does not own her...she owns it....but.....
