Sonam Is A Quality Conscious Actress; Has Rejected Many Big Roles Says Anil Kapoor
Setting nasty rumours about Sonam Kapoor being out of work at rest, daddy Anil Kapoor has said that the style icon has been seen in just seven movies in five years simply because she has been very choosy about the quality of roles she enacts on the big screen. Anil Kapoor said that Sonam has rejected quite a few big ticket projects in the past simply because she was not satisfied with the role offered to her. Hindustan Times reports that Anil Kapoor was completely satisfied with her progress in her career and is supportive of her desire to something more than a decorative element in a movie. However, with duds like Players and Thank You to her credit, it remains to be seen how many believe that Sonam's infrequent releases can be truly attributed to her desire for quality roles.

Sonam's career is going in the same direction Esha Deol's went. Anil Kapoor is a dad, he'll always defend his child/children no matter what, even if he has to lie to himself. Sonam needs to get into full-time fashion now, like Victoria Beckham did when she left the Spice Girls.

Thats just silly, babe. FYI, Victoria Beckham is highly successful and a name that shines on her own even if its fashion related. I would love to see Sonam reaching that height. As for acting, she has potential, just hadn't had any notable hits yet. When she decides to quit is up to her, let her be in peace.

so you guys know, she was offered roles in big films such as son of sardar, kites, rab ne bana di jodi, etc. so stfu! sonam is a great actress and yeah her roles always have equal importance as the male, something that sonakshi, asin, etc can only dream of! (even though i like them too)

her father is a star and she had enough money (already have the name /fame /opportunity/money..) except the talent ...

Sonam's role in Ranjanna seems a lot better than the "big" actress that have small roles in hit films! Sonam has almost always had equal if not more importance in a movie than the hero... can't say the same for the "hit" actresses.
