Arjun Kapoor all praise for Sridevi
The Ishaqzaade star Arjun Kapoor has been in the news for a variety of reasons pertaining to his films and his reported altercations with his colleagues. But the one question he is always asked when prodded by reporters is his equation with Sridevi, his father, Boney Kapoor’s second wife. Claims are that he freezes when the topic is broached, but au contraire, he is praise abound for the seasoned actor, who he feels has been an inspiration to the nation. In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Arjun said that she is a master of her craft and has motivated generations of aspiring actors. He also feels that what she has accomplished much more than what anyone else has achieved. Arjun added that he is sure her film English Vinglish will be watched by the entire nation and that the media, her fans and Bollywood has always loved her. When asked if he has seen her film yet, he told HT that before his father and Sridevi left for Toronto, he had seen the first and second theatrical trailers and thought they looked good. English Vinglish seemed to be a great and fun family film. Since this is her much awaited comeback, the entire country has their hopes pinned on this one. Post completing Aurangzeb, Arjun shall start shooting for Karan Johar-Sajid Nadiadwala’s 2 States after which he will work on Gunday with Ranveer Singh.

I wish the media would stop harassing him with questions about this woman, especially after his mother died this year.

He need not have praised Sridevi in the first place....like Madhuri he could have just told "I wish her best of luck for her movie" but he went ahead and told what was in his heart and also what every one knows that Sridevi is the empress of acting........
This is not diplomacy for God's sake......There is nothing wrong if he respects his step mother....
All the people here talking about how difficult and all that. Shahid Kapoor's situation was worst than this. His mother and father divorced and later his mother married twice. He has step siblings from both side. Today he is in good terms with Supriya Pathak (his step mother), he was always in good terms with his step father (Rajesh Khattar), not only that he takes care of his step siblings like a parent. So nothing is impossible.
AK's mother never remarried plus he always lived in his father's house along with his grand parents from his father's side. Bony Kapoor left his house and not his mother.
only diff is AK's step mom is more famous and and was big star than Shahid's and AK's father is big producer and Shahid's not and that is why people are talking more about it.
He was 10 or do when his dad left his mom for Sridevi. She broke his family. It takes a person with integrity to separate talent for character.

I asked who the heroine is for 2 States? He did date Arpita Khan ,later he was involved with Mrs Malaika Arora Khan causing her marriage to Arbaaz Khan to almost break up. He will probably be more understanding of his Dad's situation now.

Well, that's smart of him. Even if he has bad feelings towards Sridevi, it's a private matter, which he doesn't need to speak about publicly. And if he truly meant that, then I'm glad that he can differentiate between his personal and professional life, and admire an actor for his/her work.
