@samia khan go & search top 10 barfi scenes that are copied. you will see an article by Hindustan Times. read that
I loved Barfi to the core but sending a movie having so many scenes copied from hollywood movie, is not a good choice at all. & yeah, Kahaani was 100% original, not a copy paste job!

kahaani deserves to be sent to Oskar for sure

yahh
wrong choice barfee \which is nt even orgianl huh

I am sure if kahani selected for Oscar instead of Barfi then lots of people related kahani to other foreign movies. Most of the people doesn't even know which scene of Barfi copied or not, just love to degrade Indian movies.

It deserves it. Liked the "unexpectedness" of the movie and of course, Vidya stole the show.

I am really happy Kahaani won but there's a film fest in Fiji & that too in Labasa :P There's one theater in Labasa which plays BW movies & another one which used to play HW movies when I lived there. Guessing the screening happened at the BW theater. This is cute, have to ask my cousins about it & now I definitely know when to plan my next Labasa trip. Who knows might meet a big star ;) so proud of my little Labasa.

congrats! definitely well deserved!! these are the kinds of films that need to be sent to international film festivals...including Cannes and as competition!!

Good news. Kahani was a great movie and Vidya... she was just fantastic! I can't imagine anyone else in that role.
Kahani, Barfi and English vinglish - my fav movies of the year. Also London, Paris, New York which is not a masterpiece but very nice romantic movie.

Best film of the year or not...that debate will never end..no matter the film or the year.

But one simply can not disagree that this was a brilliant and super engaging film with spell-binding performances by the entire cast spearheaded by the amazingly talented shoulders of Vidya Balan.

I had goosebumps all throughout the film and esp in the end. And to think such a fine film also earned more than 100 crores gross at the box office. :)
