Skincare is cardinal to every single woman out there and when it comes to supermodels, they swear by keeping their glow intact. If you go ahead and ask about one beauty essential they can't do without, the answer would be facial mist. The super gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Miranda Kerr completely trust facial mists for keeping their skin looking fresh when they are on the go. With just a few sprays, it'll hydrate, moisturise and keep your make-up intact.

Facial mists are by far one of the most understated beauty products today. It is important to understand the benefits the products can offer to your skin by hydrating and keeping in the moisture. Super hydrated skin equals an effortlessly glowing skin! Now, who would want to say no to that? There is literally umpteen number of exorbitant facial mists out in the market, but you don't have to splurge when you can easily DIY your own facial mists according to your skin type.

For normal skin:

Gather the following :

1 cup of coconut water

1 cup aloe vera water

2 drops of sweet almond oil

How to get on with it:

Get a glass spray bottle and use a funnel pour the ingredients into it. Shake well and spritz! Coconut water is one of the most amazing DIY ingredients as it contains cytokinins, which will encourage cell turnover. Almond oil is a rich source of vitamin A and E, which will help balance uneven tone and replenish the skin, whereas aloe vera is the best hydrating agent.

For dry skin

Gather the following :

1/2 cup of glycerin

1/2 cup of rosewater

1 cup of chamomile

How to get on with it:

Place the chamomile in a cup of boiling water and leave it to brew until it's cool. Take a glass spritz bottle and using a funnel pour the tea into it. Follow by adding the other ingredients and shake well. This one will work best for dry skin type as it'll provide your thirsty skin with the hydration it requires. The chamomile will help calm and rebalance the skin while rosewater’s packed with antioxidants to brighten the skin and prevents pre-mature aging. Glycerin is the ultimate hydrant.

For oily skin

Gather the following :

1/2 cup of witch hazel

1/2 cup of rosewater

1 cup green tea

How to get on with it:

In a cup of boiling water, place a green tea bag and leave it to brew until cool. Add the tea and all the other ingredients using a funnel to the glass spray bottle and shake well. Store it in the fridge for a cool and refreshing spritz. This one is a super hydrating facial mist for oily skin as when your skin feels dehydrated it’ll produce more oil to compensate for the lack of moisture. The witch hazel will also help control oil production, while the star ingredient, green tea, contains ECGC, which is one of the most potent antioxidants around!

The best way to use the facial mist :

Spray 2-3 pumps, keeping it almost 50 cm away from your face at an upward angle and then let the mist fall to your face. This will help in an even application that doesn't alter your makeup.
