Face off: Deepika and Anushka in red checks and distressed denims

Sporting very similar looks were Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone. Distressed jeans, a red checked button shirt paired with a gunjee was their choice. While DP paired her open-buttoned shirt with white, Anushka opted for black and blue. Both wore them casually, minus any accessories and sporting just a phone.

How does one copy this look? I've worked this look even before I saw pictures of Deepika. I doubt that after Anushka saw pictures of Deepika sporting this look.. she went out and said "OMG I need to buy a red plaid shirt and distressed denims!! I've GOT to outshine Deepika." Grow some sense.
