We have been pondering over age-appropriate dressing for a while now. In an industry where age is no bar, should the same apply to clothes as well? With this year marking the comeback of many yester year actresses, fashion codes have been re-written. While the younger glamazons can pull of evening gowns with aplomb, we look at some of our more senior divas and whether this ensemble is meant for them or not as opposed to Indian attire…
Her smile may win hearts but definitely not her choice of gown. The V-neck and empire cuts do her no favours.
Sadly the BCBG Max Azria gown makes Rani look like a tiered cake. Saris are the look she must stick to.
While Ash looks resplendent in the gown, we much prefer her in the Indian avatar.
The Kushali Kumar gown in mud grey makes us cringe. And while the embellished one is a step up we feel still feel Kajol looks mighty uncomfortable in it. How pretty she looks in the saris, though! Especially the floral Shantanu and Nikhil.
