Madhuri Dixit's saree saga
Madhuri Dixit Nene, who is back in India to pursue her Bollywood aspirations, is more often than not seen in a saree at most events. While I love Madhuri and I look forward to each of her appearance, her saree saga has been a tad bit disappointing. Her choice of sarees, all of which have a border and a print, seem quite repetitive and do not do any justice to this dhak dhak girl. While I refrained from having the title Madhuri Dixit's sorry/saree saga, what are your thoughts on this? Are you liking Madhuri's saree saga...

I agree.. If anybody considers to remake The Devil Wears Prada then Sridevi is the IDEAL actress to be casted as Meryl Streep. She has done a high tempered role before in Laadla and can carry it very well specially when in comes to fashion and looking good.
I'm not Sri's big fan but I find her very charming.
On the other hand Madhuri cannot carry that role, because she doesn't look that good in modern dresses nor has Sridevi's talent and versatility.
I would rather see Madhuri in fully indianized women roles only.

Madhuri Dixit to do Devil Wears Prada??? thats a joke.... The only two female who would be able to play Streep in that movie are Rekha or Sridevi. They have style, attitude and talent for it.
Madhuri will be cheesy in that role.
she wears the most ugliest sarees ever! and on top of that chooses the most awful jewellery!
She's always had a real bad, gaudy dress sense.
I prefer her in sarees keeping her dignity about her as opposed to forcing legs that have passed their prime (aka Sri Devi, her call but I don't find it attractive), she looks elegant and like herself. I know we love experimenting and all but not everyone does, fashion is an expression of self, its ok if you're not edgy fashion wise ! As long as you feel good :)

She looks her age. That is hardly a problem because one can turn back clock with clinical help to an extend. Her hair disturb me more than anything.

She looks good for her age, I don't think there is anything really wrong with how she dresses. Maybe a lil over the top, but hey she's a 90's superstar so she has that to live up to. I don't think she's really trying to compete with the younger crop but if she was offered a great age appropriate role I'm sure she would rock it. Would love to see her do something like The Devil Wears Prada.

I love Madhuri's flowery red/black saree and maybe the green one, too...but that's about it.

When it comes to Saris then no one can beat Sridevi... Not only she looks amazing with her height in a saree but she chooses the right color that suits her, right accessories and the right makeup. and overall she wears the right saree type for the right event.
Just look at her pics in saree and see.
Sadly same cannot be said about Madhuri, Her taste in sarees is not good and her makeup seems to be over all the time.
