Ranveer Singh has always been one step ahead when it comes to fashion. The actor has always been open to expeimentation with not only his roles in films, but also what he wears. Unlike other male actors, he doesn't shy away from bold and bright colours, daring animal prints, funky accessories and more. Unlike his peers, Ranveer doesn't like to go muted anywhere. His style, is to make a statement.

This time around though, his statement seems to have taken him a little too far. For his recent promotions for Gully Boy, he sported a mint green faux fur jacket with white pants while in Berlin. The outfit was designed by Manish Arora.

But that is not what caught the attention of his fans and followers on Twitter. No, desi twitter found that Ranveer had an uncanny resemblance to a fictional character - a monster! The large blue monster from the film Monsters Inc. was who desi Twitter thought the Padmaavat actor resembled! Check out some of the hilarious reactions to Ranveer's eerily similar look to that of James Sullivan's, below.

On the other hand, the designer of the outfit, Manish Arora explained in detail what the coat meant to him and the purpose for which it was created. In an Instagram post, he said that the coat which also had a hood with a pink horn on top, is "an association with my days of struggle. It's unconventional and just like anyone who has made it in life despite the odds, much like the character Ranveer is playing in Gully Boy."

The jacket according to Arora also symbolises freedom and works as a reminder that each of us is rare and only our own heroes. This jacket, is a culmination of all of those ideas put together.
