Anju Modi show at Delhi Couture Week
Anju Modi show at Delhi Couture Week. This year, she presents her collection DEVI. The collection takes inspiration from some of the most vivid characters inked throughout the Bengali literature and those that have been cinematically brought to life. Their exquisite purity, their passion and their raw characterization is what she beautifully delves into, creating designs that dwell in their innate immortal character.

Anju Modi is a name to watch...i predict she will be the next big thing after Sabyasachi. They have a lot of similarities in style and concepts...they both seem to be inspired by art, literature and past eras esp. vintage bengal, and like to incorporate this into their designs in an offbeat and contemporary way. They have an artistic yet traditional aesthetic and their work reflects the diverse cultural heritage of India. I love the theme of this collection, DEVI, and love how she's interpreted it into the clothes in a innovative and interesting way, just like Sabya. Even Sabya fan SLB has spotted her talent and signed her up as costume designer for Ram-Leela, so it looks like she's set to follow Sabya's footsteps by working with the same director.
OMG! GORGEOUS clothes! I want all of them!
Nice concept.
