gosh, the question is who rocked the look not who has a better movie career. i like freida here, she is very natural and at ease with the dress and all. ash looks too contrived.

both are nice but aish clearly copied friedas style!

I know its a bot foolish at this moment to compare between this two . But One thing Freida got which Ash don't have that is naturalism which Ash has always been lacking. 10 min role or 20 mins flash Freida showed that she is on the track for a long run .

Frieda is slimmer and younger so her!However when Ash was her age,Frieda couldn't even hold a candle to Aishwarya

this post created a lot of unnecessary disputes. why can't the world including desis just accept that different people will have different tastes?

no body disputes that Frieda is a big actress or something.. she's not. she's a model who got her break and is starting that's all. if her films do big and she's talented, she may make it.. but it will be tough being a desi with no desi support. she is smart to take this chance and start- everyone would. anyhow, Freida is very lovely- looking dress even in a rather shapless dress.. it's so crass and classless to call her train class, village girl, et all-- esp because she does have a college education and is the 'Palace of Asia' owner/wealthy. she hates to play up her wealthy background, according to one interview though.

I like both the looks but I'll go with Aish.

freida.. too me is overrated considering her 10 mins role in sd millionaire..but i also believe that if she has got so far, she must have done somethin right..

Geez louise, I can't believe how much attention this one post has gotten when all I was comparing was their gowns! From potato to what not other kinds of comments are here. And no my aim was not at all to create a Ash vs Freida war as someone mentioned ages ago. :)

frieda looks vvery natural and comfortable and in her own skin here. ash looks a little contrived, as if she's trying too hard. the dress is a little too much, her make up is a little too much and then her hair is more than a little too much, she's posing too much. i guess she's still nervous and trying to fit in after all these yrs. i do like her better than the last few yrs, but when u make the comparison with frieda here, frieda come out to be the stronger candidate.

nobody is allowed to comment that Aish does not keep herself in shape.. she does not seem to be an exercise buff. now that's fine- all shapes and colors should be in-- but if people just don't prefer that look, it's not jealousy. The dress does not seem to fit her.. it's a lovely dress though. Would prefer Neelam and Bhagashree's fountain of youth at 40's look any day in any way of Aish. Aish has a square face and not everyone thinks her features are all-that. The only thing Aish has in her advantage over all the others is her beautiful eyes.

know this may sound a bit traditional, but the lack of cleavage show and necklace actually made the dress a bit sweeter for Freida. Plus her smile and lack of posing made it nice.

Aish's dress, color and fabric was far nicer though. Aish's dress and train is very long-- it looks like a wedding gown. Not a big fan of cleavage shows when it comes to very formal evening wear (that includes Angelina and the Western stars)-- however, respect the right of any woman to wear them. <

leochick, it's about face structure. Aish is not seen as very fair to many either. some people just do NOT like square faces like Aish's. Aish has pretty eyes.. and otherwise, she was just cute.. not beautiful to many from the start. but ppl spoke in hushed tones that they did not find Aish that beautiful in India-- because it was disloyal or something. disloyal- not. why can't we come with the fair truth that India has beautiful women all over-- and Aish is just one of them (and not everyone in India has the right to find her pretty- and many don't. it's not jealousy; it's taste).

oval is the sign of perfect beauty to many (Sonali, Aish.. in this case, Freida has a far more oval face & prettier smile (but Aish has nicer eyes)).

With Aish.. ('the most beautiful woman in the world'), it was tall claims.. the emperor has no...

But whatever, she and her fans will do ANYTHING .. ANYTHING to let people believe she is the most beautiful and talented of them all. That includes pretending fairness soap products are not fairness products, etc. If she wears cleavage, it's cool. IF others do, it's slutty.

It's too bad Aishwarya does not get to be compared to real people at her level-- because then Aish might come up short in talent and even looks. Sorry but not everyone is buying into the Aish hype.

Let's compare the REAL people to compare: Madhuri and Aishwarya. Watch the Unforgettable tour together and see them dance. One was missing her steps big time and had a double chin. One brought the house down. True talent is not equal to the #1 stardom game.

A)Just because Frieda Pinto has a very tanned skin and we are all trying to promote or least support tanned skin does not be Aish who's naturally fair (she obviously can't help it!) should be bashed.

B) No offence, but Frieda is not even quarter as good as Aiswaraya ( let's be honest. We all know it). Her 15 minute role in Slumdog was not that significant and is certainly does not prove her talent. We can only comment on her talent when she
has had some movies.
C) My most honest opinion ever, FRIEDA IS VERY AVERAGE LOOKING. Let's NOT compare her to aishwarya. I think people who support Frieda for her tanned skin WHILE THEY BASH AISh are pure jealous of aishwarya and they take it out by supporting Frieda.

aish has the hourglass figure that compliments the dress, while freida's midriff looks like a log..no curves whatsoever. so my vote goes to aish for the stunning silhouette. but my fave dress has to be freida's

I prefer Freida's gown; the colour is beautiful and more importantly the ruffles look a little 'messy' and natural. The reason I don't care much for Aish's gown is that it is bridal white and the ruffles are so orderly and stacked and they start too high up. Aish is looking more like a bride/prom queen than a film star. Her wrestler pose doesn't help. Freida looks comfortable, like she's been walking the red carpet all her life.

Freida looks very beautiful with her loose hair and pretty smile!!! :):) A true dazzler. That dress is dull though.

look, all are lovely in their own ways. Also, Aish is the #1 star while Frieda is still starting and a stuggler right now. So why compare? But the airs of Aish-fan pride being offended being compared to a 'lowly' Freida just makes one root for the humble sweet beautiful Freida.

Freida, beautiful Freida, refuses to display her family's wealthy background as she's VERY VERY PROTECTIVE of their privacy- and she wants to make it on her own (said so in an interview). a joke that her own kind can call somone a maid based on their color and not their educational background (and the fact is that maids can be beautiful is missed on the same kind of bashers). Can someone please list any Bollywood actress (full time actress) who even bothered to get her college degree (not summer school)??!! Yes, the artist with a college degree was called a 'dark maid' over and over again by her own kind. Now one can say Freida got a college degree as she was not getting roles, but in fact, she was working for her sister's TV show & her parents are strong educational advocates. Perhaps that's why she speaks and carries herself in any national or international scene smartly.

See.. if Aish fans want to like Aish, that's fine. But try to understand there are million different tastes and if someone likes someone else's look, that is not bashing. Someone called Frieda a user???!!! Do you know Frieda to know she's a user? On the contrary, her family comes from wealth (Palace of Asia chain of restaurants-- she had come to the Cherry Hill one by the Cooper River with her family a few years back so know this is a fact). Elder sister Sharon Pinto a TV producer (Freida worked on her show). School principle parents. She has a full college degree. She is a STRONG BELIEVER that all women should be fully educated-- acting career or not.

Bottom line is that lovely Frieda may make it as a star or not, she's just starting.. who knows. But she's very intelligent and has a lot going for her. Whatever path she will take, it will dazzle. On the contrary, rumours are those around her often use her a lot... she's known to be humble and sweet.
