Whilst I agree with you on most points, but as a Pakistani it's unfair to say only India has problems, I believe we have bigger problems as well.
GUYS PLZ STICK TO THE SUBJECT, ITS ABOUT CLOTHES and yes their nice. PEACE OUT BROTHERS AND SISTERS :)
----------------

I dont think she said only India has problems, her point was why they make it look like as if Pakistan is the only country which has tons of problems, she was pointing towards India internal problems which are alot as well. Anyhow, focus should be on peace, love and friendship, enough of this fighting!
We Pakistani have no hatred for a common Indian, its the government and the politicians who like to play this dirty game. However, I wil say one thing, do not form any sorta of negative opnion about Pakistan just because this is what they show you on tv, trust me many non Pakistani who have visited Pakistan are shocked to see how different Pakistan is from they see on tv, the moment you land in Pakistan you will see people who have nothing but love for others.hence, we should go by facts not by what the media tells, to know Pakistan and Pakistanis you gotta visit Pakistan or else one will never see the real picture of Pakistan.

peaceeeeeeeeeeee!

As an Indian I never had hatred in my heart, until the 2008 Mumbai shooting and bombings and the continuous terrorism supported by the dreadful Paki government and their lowlife people. I'm sorry but India was never cowardly enough to terrorize Pakistan, we were always the bigger people, but it's clear that Pakistan, as a country has no dignity whatsoever and continues to encourage terrorism towards their neighbours and the world. I think it's Pakis that should get educated, because if you clearly read the comments that hate India with a passion and their actions prove this.
Secondly if Pakistani designs were so good, why do they need to be promoted in Pinkvilla of all places?? And if you guys actually did your research you would know that Fair & Lovely is sold in Pakistan as well (and a very popular product may I add), hence it’s not just us with the complex. You guys should stop acting as the victims, because we all know you’re not that innocent, actually the complete opposite and at least as a country we have a identity, the only identity Pakistan has is “evil fanatic terrorists”, which is the worst tag you could have and rightly deserved. .
Maybe you guys should stop fighting altogether, but Pakistan is a lost cause.
-----
done with your whinning and let me tell you one thing very clearly we dont need pinkvilla to sell our clothes because we already cater to international market, we have the best fashion industry in the muslim world and as for what you think of my country honestly 180 million Pakistani dont even give a damn what you think of us... and you dont have the right nor you have any clue what you are talking about, your heart and mind is filled with hatred just like many indians. but tell you what we dont give a damn.......sokeep watching crap in your mini screen which promotes nothing but hatred for your neighbour.........also if i start counting how many problems lie in India, overpopulation, poverty, internal terrorism what not, i will have to write book on your internal problems but i wont get to your level and give you satisfication!India is ahuge country but in real a shallow country.how about you worry for your country and do something for it... rather than being so obsessed with Pakistan.and pleaseeeeeeeeee do not bother quoting me, and i will request my fellow Pakistani posters as well to please do not reply to haters........ we shouldnt get to their level. I wouuld have never come to this website if this post wasnt about my country and yes CHICKEN BIRYANI VERY NICE POST..... so refreshing to see something new.............

whenever a Pakistani video or song appears on you tube or a fashion post
over here..there are such hate comments from stupid Indians...they should
get educated and clear this menace and hatred in their heart towards their neighbors...
if you want to compare and fight, go compare yourself to a bigger country but why pak??

Wow it's soooo pretty

I really do believe these girls are all very beautiful as are all girls all over the world, but it is kind of unprofessional to talk about the model rather than the clothes, if the girl is drawing attention away from the clothes than her beauty is distracting and the designer is loosing out on making the clothes the taking point. in that sense it is not at the same level as newyork or milan , when have you every heard anyone rave about how beautiful the models are? also the way the photographs are glossed up and altered is ridiculous

sorry guys i find this line of 'bridal couture' uninspiring to say the least , as i do with most of Indian 'bridal couture' aswell . Look honestly speaking these lehenga style clothes are only worn by a small portion of Indians during weddings mostly traditional north-Indians. The people from the north-east, south, and to some extent west would never wear this style but their own traditional outfits to their weddings. India is a very very diverse and vast country , but sadly only the north-indian style of a 'dream wedding outfit' is always show cased in Indian fashion shows. how about showcasing a manipuri, assami outfit like a innaphi, phanek, sarong in a fashion show....i know that no self-respecting south-indian would touch one of these outfits on their wedding if you paid her to do it, they are highly scornful of this kind of outfits where bits and pieces of net, butta, mesh are all stitched together to create this confusion of an outfit, a south-indian wedding is very celestial like with classic 100% pure kancheevaram silks woven together and the zari work is made of actual silver thread. you just have to take a look at a bhartnatyam dancer to get some inspiration. but bollywood designers , design the same old boring fake rhinestones, colorful patchwork teacosy with lots 'work' and sell it for millions to dumb customers. now finally coming to this discussion on skin color, i don't know abut pakistan but india is racially a very diverse country as, the people from the north east have different facial features and color tones as do the south Indians. But i have noticed this obsession of being white only among the wheatish northindians, the south indians are burnt brown/black and no amount of 'makeup' can whiten skin and in southindian culture some of the darkest people are considered the best looking, similarly northeastern people have a yellow undertone and dont bleach their skin to look white. i think the controversy is with non-uniformity in color among north-indians unlike northeastern and soutindian people where there is uniformity in color of skin. because some norhtindians are wheatish and the rest are whiter , there is a kind of comparison and the conventional idea of beauty is thought to be a white skinned girl and hence the obcession to pile makeup on to look whiter. it is more sad more than anything and these people need help.

wonderfull, loved the minute work on the dresses ,colors , and the ambience of the fashion show

I am a Pakistani living in UAE and we bought Manish Malhotra outfits for my sister's wedding like 5 years back and they were awesome, now I can easily say his designs are overrated, especially when I compare it to some of the work done above. I'm not some random Pakistani hating on an Indian designer because he is Indian, I'm a former client hating on his designs because they aren't all that. That being said I do love Tarun Tahiliani, again because he makes beautiful clothes not because he belongs to a particular country.

Hey chicken biryani you need to stop making these Paksitani fahion posts because they are causing a lot of fighting and negativity beyond what's normal for Pinkvilla. People can just google Paksitani fahion if they want to see what it looks like, that's what I do.

First of all STICK to the subject, but since you have started it here is my two cents on the issue:
Could you please STOP with your Anti- Indian rant, you are a IDIOT! Btw who are you calling illiterate, if you look at the statistics, the literacy rate in Pakistan is only 37.4% while India is 73.1%, hence you’re the lowlife moron who needs to get their facts right. Oh I’m from North America as well and I have to say that I’d rather support India for their annoying call centres than Pakistan for their involvement in terrorism and backwards thinking – which makes them less than human. I doubt your North American, because here no one supports that money begging & terrorist training backwards Pakis. It doesn’t bother me what they think about their skin and you’re beyond delusional, go hang yourself b****.

I did send you message again, did you get it now?
i really dont understand whats the problem!!!

Anonymous's picture

That's not true, who started the fight here were a stupid INDIAN person! She/He couldn't stand a normal personal comment saying that Pakistanis clothes are more decents than Indian's clothes, also the one that says that this collection is better than the typical Manish Malhotra!

Indians can't stand the true! Always starting a fight, that's why the WORLD out there hates you and u guys NEVER grow up to the next civilization!
By the way I was born and raised in North America, but I would rather fight for Pakistanis than you guys, who are filled of HATRED in your hearts!
No education and no respect for others. Brown skinned people who hates their own skin. SHAMELESS.

Anonymous's picture

I'm sorry as a Lebanese person, and an outsider I can fairly say my opinion is unbiased, I find many Pakis equally brown, there are very few Pakis that are naturally fair skinned (the upper class maybe)- you guys are NOT half Caucasian nor Arabic, you guys look just like Indians to us (actually Indians are better – more civilized and smart) but seriously have a look at you own country before you point you figure! You guys are despicable human beings, I looked at who started the fight on this post and it was Pakis, thinking that they are so great but your fu***d in the head, always causing trouble, no wonder every country hates you guys. As for the designs their too bright for me & I would never wear them anyway. BTW learn how to spell dumbass.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I STARTED THE FIGHT AND I AM A MEXICAN U IDIOT!!! Yes, Manish Malhotra SUCKS next to this mesmerizing collection!!! Besides, you could never wear any of these pieces because you don't have the money my dear :)
And I didn't generalized ALL THE PAKISTANIS when I said that they are naturally fair ok?! I meant for all these models in the picture! There are many fair skinned, I've visited the place so I am sure about that! And if Indians were so civilized, why the hell they alwaysssssssss start a fight on PINKVILLA huh? Just read their messeges, it only shows RACISM and IGNORANCE!!! It's like if they were living in a small village with no education nor respect for others!
Are u a LEBANESE? Seriously? You must be one in a million because lebanese people are not rude and disgusting like you who can't stand one damn comment in a PUBLIC site! Maybe you are another Indian who's pretending to be somebody else just to prove your point! How can you defend them when these Pinkvillians girls are always hating somebody just because she's naturally beautiful, fair and reaching the top of their carrer eh??? That's not normal and we shouldn't prase them for that!!!

Anonymous's picture

Lol.
The men's outfits are better than the women.

i thought they are not allowed to display themselves and show their legs!

INDIANS ARE SO HYPOCRITES!!!!! THE 100% OF THEIR BOLLYWOODS FEMALES WEARS HORRIBLE CONTACTS LENSES AND WHITE WASH THEIR DARK SKIN WITH WHITE FUNDATION OR BLEACH THEM AND EVEN ENDORSE THEM AND U GUYS BASH THESE PAKISTANIS FOR WEARING CONTACTS LENSES???
OH EXCUSE ME, AT LEAST THEY ARE NATURALLY FAIR SKINNED AND U GUYS ARE NATURALLY BROWN AND MOST OF U HATE IT! THAT'S WHY U GUYS LOVE/HATE AISHWARYA RAI FOR HAVING A WEATISH SKIN COLOR!!!

Gosh these pakistani women are beautiful!

True that some people should stop talking about hindu/islam/india/pakistan.
By the end of the day... the point is you gave me food I ate...you gave me shelter I slept...you gave me clothes I wore...and then DIE.
Stop fighting....! We are all humans...that is the point :)
By the end of the day..we are from the SAME EARTH...and made by the SAME GOD!...

ChickenBiryani - I LOVE all that jewellery, especially the maang tikas. Are maang tikas like the ones here available online? Do you know some Pakistani website I can order them off? I'm not going back to bombay this summer - summer courses - blah! And there aren't any good Indian jewellery sites that I know of. If anyone knows of some good Pakistani website I can order jewellery off, please please please pm me the link.
Btw absolutely GORGEOUS clothes! Some of the girls are so beautiful, and I just love that shade of bright red lipstick.

And fellow Indians - especially the anon who said pakistani posts on pinkvilla because its an indian website - you all need to chill. All this stupid india pakistan war of words, we need to really cut it out. This is good fashion, so appreciate it. I'm sure you wouldn't be talking about banning a post if it was from, like, some random country like the Czeck Republic or something, so why pakistan? We're all desis man, gotta stick together!
