'The Leopard Tale'

Avantika Malik was seen in a leopard print dress at the recent birthday bash of Sonam. So,that brings us to the other "leopard tales" that our bollywood celebs have for us! It seems that animal prints, esc leopard prints never go out of fashion for anyone. Just a few hours ago, the dailymail reported that Lady Gaga has been spotted in her favorite leopard print jacket 3 times in just 2 weeks! Anyway,let us look at the B'town stars who have chosen to wear leopard prints at various events. Black&White leopard prints are mostly a very safe choice as it does not let the prints be too loud; yet it remains stylish. Esha and Shazahn wore one shouldered snug dresses,Shamita and Avantika went for short dresses, Sushmita opted for the Kaftan; while Sonam was out there to vote flaunting her leopard print scarf. I love Shazahn's look here!

Moving on the real colors on the leopard, I like these dresses which have a hint of golden yellow/black/brown etc because they resemble the leopard skin, in the best manner. Lara is my favorite of this lot, as she truly sizzled at the Audi event. Kareena looks great too,but I wont dig the larger prints on her dress. Addition of the red flower on Shilpa's dress and the shimmerinig black panel on Malaika's dress, are undesirable additions. Sonali and Sophie look good, though the dress does not really stand out!

I always thought these prints dont go down well with bright colours, but Freida's various coloured leopard print dresses seem to prove me wrong. Her blue,cyan and purple dresses are quite nice. I dont have a fascination for that pink gown on Deepika or the purple dress on Amrita; where as I do like Gauri's and Suzanne's choices.

Apart from dress, leopard print tops/shirts have also been quite popular. Sushmita,Twinkle,Sameera and Kareena throw some animal prints on you, but I could never imagine that a guy would wear that shirt/top that Khiladi Akshay Kumar is wearing- it suits his skin tone though!

Even if you dont like to wear these prints, you could actually lend a stylish look to the attire by adding on a leopard print accessory like Esha's belt, Koeana's pumps, Shazahn & Gauri's clutches, or Shilpa&Twinkle's bags!

Do you like these leopard prints on dresses/shirts/accessories? I would prefer an accessory more than a dress!
