Pakistan Fashion week 2012 goes on the floor with a hint of culture and western touch. This is just the begining, in few weeks, designers from across Pakistan will be showcasing their bridal work in bridal couture week as well!
Healthy criticism is welcome, but please no hateful comments, just appreciate the art!

"its not Paki .. its Pakistani, kindly refrain from the term Paki, and yes elite Pakistani girl wear short dresses, like youll find them showing legs and arms, but nothing like what happens in Indian and elsewhere, after all there is something called culture which is very much intact in Pakistan."
Culture? Oh! you mean like beheading , acid throwing and stone throwing etc..............
"anyways, this post isnt about Pakistan affairs, its about their fashion! can we stick to the topic please......."
Exactly!! And can you please practice what you preach?
.

Can u plz tell me who is the designer name (collection in which the model is wearing a helmet) and the designer (of the dress with the d truck embroidery?
Where can you buy just the fabric? I live in Houston, Texas, USA.
I don't like the oversized XXXL shape of these clothes and would like to stitch my own.
..................
I dont know abt that, but if you tell me which piece you are talking about I can tell you designer name and contact number!
perhaps, you can ask them! ...
Thanks dear! my intention is not to create any fights here or to say which one is best!
its just about appreciating art and art has no boundries whtsoever!
so please guys ,as grown ups, we should set examples rather than getting into useless convos!
we have alot in common, India and Pakistan can be potentially the best fashion industries in the coming years!

Agreed with Wed, 2012-04-11 02:19 — Anonymous. Very well said. And yes, c'mon guys let's grow up. Indians and Pakistanis have the same origin, I mean come on we fought for our freedom together. Let's not have this lame mindset that Indians and Pakistanis are supposed to pick on each other and hate each other or something. We are the new generation, we should know better.
I am Indian. And my best friend here in Toronto is Pakistani. Honestly, our cultures are SO alike, I can't even tell the difference. I've met A LOT of Pakistanis in my life, and they have all been lovely people. The Pakistanis I know here would say the same about us Indians. Those of you who are from North America or England I guess would know how much Indians and Pakistanis bond over here. So I don't understand why there's all this hatred and harsh words here.
If you don't like the clothes, great, go ahead and criticize the clothes. That's your choice. But don't bring India-Pakistan into this. I don't understand WHY people are bringing 2 nations into this :S It's not like this is the cricket world cup semi-final, lol. I would understand if people would be siding their country in taht discussion. But what the hell, this is a about a fashion show. Post your comments about the clothes and GET OVER WITH IT!
