We all have cravings once in a while but if you have a sweet tooth your cravings can be troublesome. An oddly timed sweet craving can cause a lot of weight gain. It’s also important to remember that everything is good as long as it is in moderation. Too much sweet can be bad for your teeth and your body. It’s important to manage and curb your sweet tooth and sweet cravings. A high consumption of sugary things may lead to increased blood sugar levels or put you at a risk of it which may in turn lead to the life-long problem of diabetes. It can also lead to weight gain and increase the risk of a heart disease. It may also lead to low energy levels and fatty liver and rotting teeth. It’s important to have a balanced diet and sugar consumption. But battling your cravings isn’t easy either. Here’s how you can win this battle.

1. Meditate. Focus and concentrate on your mental peace and keep your mind occupied with something else.​

2. Distract yourself. Go for a walk or workout. Stop thinking about sweets and your cravings. Try to replace the thoughts with something else.

3. Try to satisfy your craving with fruits. Try to consume natural sugar. Swap your junk food for healthy sweets.

4. Instead of having milk chocolates and brownies try having dark chocolates and protein bars. It’s a healthier and safer. It keeps your heart and body healthy as long as it’s eaten in moderation.

5. Chewing gum is a great way to limit your sweet intake. It keeps your mind and mouth busy. It’s good for your teeth and gums and it also helps control your hunger and cravings.

6. Flavoured yogurt is probiotic rich and is a healthy snack. Have Greek yogurt instead of ice-cream.

7. Dry fruits like dates and prunes are rich in nutrients. It’s a healthy way to satisfy your craving but limit your dry fruit intake. Too much of anything can be bad for your health.

8. Substitute your craving with lime juice or fruit juice or smoothies.
