Synopsis
Aiyya movie is a quirky love story in which Rani Mukherjee plays Marathi girl Aiyya in this delightful Amelie-style comedy. Aiyya lives with her eccentric family next to a smelly rubbish dump, lost in her dream-like Bollywood fantasy world. She gets a job at an art college where she meets a soul-mate, a buck-toothed Lady GaGa lookalike, and together they go man-hunting. That’s until Aiyya catches the smell of her dream man, follows the scent and finds a hunky Tamil student (superstar Prithviraj), who she stalks; much to his annoyance. At the same time her barely sane parents are arranging her marriage to a good, sensible boy, who loves Marathi art cinema and rose-planting. As her dream hunk mysteriously disappears, Aiyya is torn: should she settle for the rose garden? Director Sachin Kundalkar deftly delivers on-the-button gags, and ecstatic song and dance numbers. This is the first time Im giving reviews on any movie. I really felt that maina was a horrible character. how can one wear clothes like her in the college. I could not stand watching her. it was only rani's belly dance that caught me on the movie. Maina.. maina... maina .... nahi na.... nahi na.... nahi na..

I don't know that anybody of filmmaker is ever going to know my opinion about the movie star.
But I eagerly want to let them know that there are more talented actors like prithviraj, Randeep Hooda. They are very talented and it is the best time to replace those old heroes and intro the new faces like Randeep Hooda, prithviraj and others...
is film ki achhi baat ye hai ki pruthviraj is awesome.i don't know him before this film but now i m big fan of him.i think he is superb,i like him a lot
I should havr walked out sooner but kept waiting for a better story line or some thing, nothing took place. I wish I could make the mave maker to watch this one time. Rani What is wrong with you? You should have never agreed to play in this film, this would have save me time and money also. Please do not see this film.

This movie had every potential to at least be a super hit if not a blockbuster. What can talented actors like rani,prithviraj do when the script is hardly entertaining?
The director and screen writer seems worse than hindi cash movie director.
Its sad. We need talented actors to replace the old and boring khans.

Movie lagged, Pritviraj made audience to expect more from him, but sad no much dialogues even, to do. Rani did justice to her desperate role. Horrible was her friend Maina and her bro Nana.
worst movie i have ever seen, waste of money, time. I can not file case against this other i would have gone ahead. but i will remember name of Sachin Kundalkar. I will never ever see his movie any more in my life.

The concept is unique but the director has not been able to make the film more interesting and fast. But the performance of everyone is praiseworthy... Rani is just too rocking and looking gorgeous and has danced like never before... i just liked the belly dance.. Prithviraj is also good and both Rani and Prithvi are so cute together.... Hope to see them soon again...
the worst part were maina and her crazy grand mom...director must be a crazy fellow...
