Synopsis
Bollywood movie ‘Dev D’ has been inspired by the classic novel ‘Devdas’ by Sarat Chandra. The interpretation however is a modern one. The characters are the same, the only thing that makes it different are the thoughts and issues according to the modern world.
The movie has shown the contrast between the colorful and fresh Punjab in India and the darker side of the capitol Delhi. Dev D is a rich guy who returns after his studies to his childhood sweetheart, only to known that she has been married off to an older rich man. The life of Dev then changes who then comes across Chanda, who changes his life.
