Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan don't seem to be ready to bury the hatchet yet, to go by their comments at two different events Monday.
Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wife Neeta organised a gala event last week to honour Sachin Tendulkar for scoring his 100th ton and invited several Bollywood stars, cricketers and politicians.
From Aamir Khan to Salman to Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai - all big names from the film industry were present, but SRK was conspicuous by his absence.
At the party, praising Sachin, Salman said: "I hope record ye toot jaye...koi na koi isse tod de...main Aamir ka record bahut der se todney ki koshish kar raha hoon...toot hi nahin raha hai...
"Sachin ke record todna mushkil hi nahin namumkin hai...aur ye Don nahin main bol raha hoon. Aur bol bhi sakta hoon kyonki mera father (Salim Khan) ne likhi hai ye picture. Rights toh unhi ke paas ahin. Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) ne ki thi ye picture."
Reacting to this, Shah Rukh told reporters Monday: "I get numb by the kind of stories I keep hearing about myself. I try not to take them seriously or comment about them."
SRK was speaking at the unveiling of customer campaign for season five of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Asked about this, Salman explained that his father wrote that line for Amitabh Bachchan and that he has every right to use it.
"Yes, I made the right comments. My father did not take any objection on that," he told reporters Monday while announcing his association with yatra.com.

This shows the calibre of the two. One is so cheap & the other is so dignified. SRK is an intelligent & educated person that is why he does not react to these low cheap comments. Keep it up SRK, world knows who you are- All dont join the IVY LEAGUE!
Good answer SRK. And the media blows it up more by writing about it, asking questions, inciting doubts in people's minds. I don't know the reason why Salman brought it up, maybe it was innocent and playful not intending to be mean. But I am very glad SRK did not FAN it more by retorting. Very very mature of him. It's a true reflection of growing older and evolving when people stop being petty. Even if there is resentment and some enmity, they can stay quiet about it, or resolve it privately with each other. Cutting remarks about the other in public is just not very classy.
i saw his stupid speech as well....it looked like a ten year old is speaking, he didn't even congratulate sachin for his achievement but was rather interested in HIS FATHER'S DIALOGUES lol
i also saw him on police show in 2010/11, he was invited on stage...he couldn't even say 2 proper sentences and he quickly passed mike to govinda and then they both started dancing like monkeys....he has a body of 45 year old and mind of a teenager so we cant blame him.
i think its high time he get mature and start behaving his age.

salman can go suck it! ...srk is number 1...has been and will always be...why else would salman feel insecure enough to bring up his name everytime..even at such an event to honour sachin where srk wasnt even present? he seems to be living in his world lmaoo.. salman and aamir combined do not have enough star power, acting skills or charisma to take down srk! they use politics, manipulation and cheap tactics but srk is way above that...few years down the road srk will still be number 1 while these losers continue to try and reach his stature.

Salman Khan has always been a bully. I wonder what went wrong in his life to make him like this? Not an SRK fan but he deserves the credit for being civil and not commenting on Salman's rubbish

salman really needs to grow up and stop being a bully....him and his friend(aamir) are trying too hard to provoke him but shahrukh got alot of patience he didn't even replied to aamir's disgusting remarks he kept quite.

this salman guy p***** me off each time i hear him say anything about shahrukh....he is flying too high on the success of his few south remakes and that is not because he acted in them its because most of his fans follow the policy of leaving their brains at home and watch his OTT action movies. hate aamir aswel because he was always jealous that how he make bigger hits but cant become bigger star than shahrukh. these to envy shahrukhs success because being an outsider he still is bigger star world wide than these two combined.
salman and aamir owe all their success to their fathers but shahrukh made it on his own.
