If presented decently, Sonakshi game for item songs

Sonakshi Sinha admits that she is not bold enough to do an item number, but says she won't mind doing one if presented in a right manner.

"I haven't been offered any item number till now. If there is a good song, I am convinced enough and I am presented in a right way, then why not," Sonakshi told reporters Tuesday at iSkate in Ambience Mall here.

The actress was here to promote her forthcoming film "Rowdy Rathore" with co-star Akshay Kumar and director Prabhu Deva. It releases Friday.

What about "Chammak challo chail chabeeli" in "Rowdy Rathore"?

"'Chammak challo chail chabeeli' is not an item song. It's a very situational song with a wedding as its backdrop," she explained.

Sonakshi made her debut as a demure village belle in "Dabangg" and actioner "Rowdy Rathore" will see her in a similar desi avatar.

And the actress is in no rush to change her image.

"I am not waiting to get a role that will change my desi girl image, but still if I get something, which requires me to be more westernised and my character is good I won't mind doing it. Right now I am happy representing my own culture," she said.

how fake that sounds.. the minute Dabangg is over.. this girl will strip completely... we've seen how desperately she tries to make herself look fashionable and cool... what about the fem ad where she is a in a mini dress? hypocrite!

She always comes across as pompous and self-righteous. Sonam is a bratty star kid too, but she doesn't say pretentious things like she's representing indian culture and all this nonsense. Honey, wearing a sari and bindi and acting in a few scenes does not mean you are representing a culture.
