SRK ashamed of Wankhede brawl, says he's no role model

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is ashamed of his behaviour at the Wankhede Stadium after an Indian Premier League (IPL) match earlier this month and feels he is not at all a role model.

"I abused but I had a reason for it...how much angry or disturbed you are, you cannot subject it to your audience or children...I don't think I am a role model...," Shah Rukh told reporters Wednesday when he was asked about the run-in at Wankhede with the security staff and Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) officials May 16.

"Saal ke andar ek jhagda aur do films kaafi hai (within a year a brawl and two films is enough)...I was very ashamed when my wife and children explained to me that I shouldn't have behaved in that way...I realised, mere bache itne bade ho gaye hain ki muje samjha rahe hain (my children have grown so much that they are advising me), I was ashamed," he added.

Shah Rukh was addressing a press conference at his Mannat residence here on the Kolkata Knight Riders winning the fifth edition of the IPL Sunday against Chennai Super Kings. He co-owns the team with actress Juhi Chawla and her businessman husband Jai Mehta.

SRK, known for his romantic screen image and as an affable star off screen, surprised everyone with his behaviour after the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians.

The MCA has banned him from entering the stadium for five years.

The superstar had apologised Tuesday forhis behaviour. When asked about this, he said: "I don't want to get into the apology part...I think, I have to be quiet and patient."

Trust me, he is STILL my role model. He is a true gentleman. I would've done the same. And I'm a woman.

LOL! He never was one to begin with.

He is truly apologizing (it's not a game, it takes great courage and extreme humbleness to apologize) and SRK, it is OK. Let it go now.

Why did he not apologise before his team won the IPLT20?
Was he so angry/drunk that his wife and children had to explain to him of what he did?
why do things then deny that u did not do it and now realize what u did was wrong?
Now we people are not proud of SRK like we used to be before. We feel sad to see him in such Controversies.
Change and Win the hears of your Wife, Children and your fans.

He needs to learn decency from his dignified wife!

If he is apologizing for his behavior, then the security guard and those MCA people are right in banning him from Wankhede. He owes an apology to them and not to the public. Nobody asked him to apologize. He has become such a dramebaaz these days. This speech he gave it right after his team won the finals. This is only for keeping his good guy image intact in public eyes. SRK gone are the days of u being a true gentleman. Cheap nasty games are not going to work on people anymore.
