It will be time for some special tributes at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards ceremony this year. Actress Priyanka Chopra will perform to evergreen Rekha's numbers, while Shahid Kapoor will groove to spicy old southern tracks.
"This year I am doing an act which will be a tribute to Rekha. I love and adore Rekha-ji," Priyanka said at a press conference here.
At the IIFA Awards held in Toronto last year, Priyanka had paid a tribute to singer Asha Bhosle. She won many hearts with her power-packed performance. This year too, one expects her to do justice to the magic of Rekha, who will receive an award for her outstanding achievement in Indian cinema.
Meanwhile, Priyanka's "Teri Meri Kahaani" co-star Shahid is upbeat about dancing to old southern Indian film songs.
"I will be performing some songs from 'Teri Meri Kahaani', and since there are a lot of southern actors who will attend IIFA this year, including legendary actor Kamal Hassan, we will be performing on old south songs," said Shahid.
"I'll be performing on one song from 'Appu Raja'. It is originally picturised on Kamal sir and it is a very cool song. I'm trying to learn the lyrics," he added.
The IIFA weekend and awards will be held in Singapore June 7-9.

it's not the makeup nor eye contacts it something more that turned those less than normal eye into bright attractive ones ! and i can't figured it out !
wud of liked to see bipasha dance to some classic rekha mujras...wud be nice and different for a change!

I don't know why she is always dancing on everybody else's songs.. like trying to prove she can do it all and is really talented or cool by paying tributes... I actually like PC at times, when she is behaving OK-ish and does decent acting in some movies... but her act to completely spread her arms wide and do everything is really annoying... when ra.one's chammak chalo song was famous... she was dancing to that songs everywhere.. even bebo didn't dance to it as much as PC did, and her tributes to Madhuri, Asha Bhonsle and now Rekha are kinda annoying.. it doesn't give a feeling of respect and tribute.. it gives a feeling of her trying to be everywhere.. even Ash does a better job than this... I wish some other actresses apart from katrina, kareena and Priyanka do some tributes.. when they do it, it's like they are trying to one up the other..
