A South Indian wedding with Kanjivarams for Esha: Hema

Actress Hema Malini has planned a typical South Indian wedding for her elder daughter Esha Deol, who will marry businessman Bharat Takhtani July 29, and says everybody will be in Kanjivaram saris.
"Yes, it will be a complete South Indian style wedding which will take place in a temple," Hema told IANS. A Tamil Iyengar, the veteran actress is married to Dharmendra who is from Punjab.
When asked what Esha will wear on her D-day, she said: "It will be Kanjivaram but I don't want to talk much about her look and costumes right now. You will have to wait and watch, but all of us will be in Kanjivaram saris."
Esha got engaged to Bharat Feb 12 at her mom's residence.

Poor hema. She didn't get any of this, so she is living her dreams through Esha. I love Kanjeevarams and the gold kambar pata. Wishing Esha the best!
i thought generally the daughters/sons follower that paternal heitage. or the persons last name that carry.

Thats only in theory...its the moms who really matter, they r the ones who usually care and raise the kids..they spend more time with their children and hence the kids learn more of the moms culture!
Kajol did marathi style becos of her mum while her father is bengali so for those who think it has to be paternal should know that esha to do her mum's tamil style is nothing wrong
