Preity Zinta, one of the fittest and glamorous actresses, finds nothing wrong with being curvaceous. She believes size issues are a personal choice, and says she supports Vidya Balan for flaunting her curves proudly and setting a new trend.
"I think she (Vidya Balan) is a fabulous actress. What's wrong with her? There is always a rule - it takes one to lead and rest to follow. The choice you have to make is whether you are a leader or a follower," Preity said here Wednesday at the launch of diet expert Pooja Makhija's book "Eat Delete".
"If there is one size zero and if 10 people want to become size zero, it's a different thing. If one is a size 12 or 10, and people want to be size 10, it's a different thing," she added.
"The Dirty Picture", one of 2011's biggest hits, saw Vidya flaunting her curves in the role of southern sex siren Silk.
"I think Vidya Balan is beautiful, she is gorgeous and she is a fabulous actor," added Preity.
About the hype being created around size zero, Preity said: "For normal people, it is very unfair to keep saying 'size zero is beautiful'. Being overweight is not good because it is bad for your health. (But) there is no such thing that this is the only size."
"I feel really bad for the normal people because their pressure is - 'If you eat this diet, you will look like her', which is really wrong, you can't look like anyone else," Preity added.
The actress has been away from the arc lights for a long while now and is set to stage a comeback with her debut production "Ishkq in Paris".

Vidya was never 7/8 but 10/12 and I am talking US size.
Everybody is a fan of Vidya Balan, and for good reason!

The two people dragged into this controversy in regard to size zero and ten do not belong in those number brackets. Kareena is not a size zero (except her brain) and she never was a size zero even in Tasn, she was more like a 4, and now she is perhaps 8, yes I am talking about US sizes. Vidya gained weight to play Silk Smitha in 'Dirty Picture' because Silk was a hefty lass, she was sensuous and full figured with belly pouch and thunder thighs.
I saw Vidya in Paa today (on Netflix) and she looked so beautiful in simple Sabya sarred and a bindi. She looked a 6/7 to me in that movie. In Dirty Picture, she was probably a 8/9. Now she is back to her former figure.
Vidya was never fat, she has a bit of extra flesh on belly area, but overall she can not be called fat or big.
Taking Vidya's name when talking about size 10 or 12 is wrong, the same goes for Kareena and size zero, dream on Karrena, never gonna happen.
Vidya is such a delightful performer that her audience forgive her extra pound or two or ten. The non talented ones have to resort to the gimmick of a bikini body being the USP of a movie. Now does that work? I hardly think so.

i agree with her. no one can look like anyone else.there are different body types ,shapes,curves,bone structure, etc.Imagine all girls in all over the world are only one size,i mean same skinny and all are size zero.i am not against size zero but i like to see different shapes.
Oh god, I'm frankly sick of every other bollywood actress commenting on weight issues daily. Can't they just keep acting in sub-par movies and let health experts comment on such matters... And the general public seriously needs to make their own informed fitness/lifestyle choices.

they are normal people but the thing is you cant make your self look like a certain actor or model because half the time they themselves are on a crazy diet not to mention all the time spent in the gym and sometimes even they resort to surgery. they have money and access to things normal people dont not to mention the way theyre photoshopped. also it's their job to look the way they do

She means as in like actors have certain expectations from the media and all of being a particular size... and that's important in their profession because i guess they have to look "presentable" on-screen.
