Union minister and former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh passed away in a Chennai hospital
Tuesday following a prolonged illness. The Hindi film fraternity wished peace to the departed soul and strength to the late minister's family, including his actor-son Riteish.
Vilasrao was 67 and is survived by his wife and three sons.
Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit and Karan Johar extended condolences to the bereaved family through Twitter.
Here's what they wrote:

It's because of people like you that the country is so corrupt. You have no idea how many poor Vidharbha farmers died because of him. You have no idea how much money he has guzzled up. Google Adarsh scam.

Hypocritical Bollywood. Deshmukh had a constant stream of bollywood stars using this starstruck politician's offices and political connections to advance their own interests illegally.
Deshmukh cheated Army widows in the Adarsh scam.
He exploited farmers in the Vidarbha region by protecting unregistered moneylenders like Dilip Sadanand and his family (This man had 40 cases including exhtortion, murder and intimidation. Loans were provided at interest rates of upto 50% which the farmer cannot pay; then they buy his farm produce at a low price and, finally, his farm at a throwaway price. Local police and collectorate were told by the Deshmukh's office to lay off) Many farmers in the Vidarbha region committed suicide during his tenure.
And last but not the least, Mumabi's worst terrosist attacks happened under his watch. His corruptions spared neither the Jawaan, nor the Kisan or the common citizen.
Rest in Peace (RIP)? More like Rot in H9ll (RIH)!! Only Bollywood will sing paeans to the likes of you. ugghh.
