Om Puri recovers from typhoid, out of hospital

Film actor Om Puri has been discharged from a hospital here after week-long treatment for typhoid.

The veteran actor had a prolonged bout of fever before being admitted to the hospital, from where he was discharged Sunday.

He was in the state capital as he was part of the cast of "Rambhajan Zindabad", a comedy film being shot in Barabanki, on the outskirts of the state capital.

"All necessary tests were conducted, before Puri saheb was discharged from Mayo Hospital. He is fine now," Ram Prasad Mishra, the actor's media manager, told IANS.

The 62-year-old actor will shoot for another six days in the state capital.

Thank God. I have had typhoid fever in the past and it was not a walk in the park.
