Emraan, Altaf Raja to perform live

Altaf Raja, who has shot for a song in forthcoming movie "Ghanchakkar", will perform live with the film's lead actor Emraan Hashmi in three cities for promoting the fun drama.

"Emraan and Altaf will perform live in three cities, including Delhi, Ahmedabad and Indore. The promotions will begin by the mid of June," said a source.

Directed by Rajkumar Gupta, the film will see Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan as husband and wife. It is slated for a June 28 release.

Fox Star Studios to co-produce Kashyap's 'Bombay Velvet'

Fox Star Studios has come on board with Anurag Kashyap's Phantom Films to co-produce filmmaker's upcoming directorial "Bombay Velvet".

The Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma-starrer is based on Mumbai in era spanning from 1950s to 1970s. It is the first film of a trilogy on how the city became a metropolis.

Rishi Kapoor admits that "films are our family business", is happy that his son Ranbir entered filmdom and praises him for taking an unconventional route to stardom without his help.

Rishi told IANS: "I am very proud that my son is trying to keep the flag of the Kapoor's flying. I always encourage him and want him to do better work."

Rishi wants Ranbir to be successful while being level headed.

Fox Star Studios is happy to announce its partnership with Phantom Films to produce Anurag Kashyap’s next film, Bombay Velvet. The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, will go on floors in July 2013 and is slated for a worldwide release on 25th Dec 2014. The first film of a trilogy, as planned by Anurag Kashyap, Bombay Velvet is the story of how the city became a Metropolis, set against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and Jazz.
