MoviesDeepak Tijori finds new face for next directorial
Actor-turned-filmmaker Deepak Tijori has finally locked a fresh face, a girl named Alisha, for his new directorial "Dare You". The suspense thriller is being co-produced by Denis Selarka and Mehul Simaria under their banner, Blueberry Films. Alisha has signed a three-film deal with Blueberry Films. "Dare You" will be launched Sep 18 with its poster and teaser in Mumbai.
Kareena happy for Salman's success
Kareena Kapoor is happy that Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" has done good business at the box office and says she and her beau, Saif Ali Khan, are not at all comparing it with their film "Agent Vinod". "Agent Vinod" didn't do well at the box office, while "Ek Tha Tiger" has done roaring business at the ticket window. Asked if she is upset with a lukewarm response to "Agent Vinod", Kareena said: "Both, Saif and I don't think that way. We both are fans of Salman. He is the tiger of the industry... we can't think of anything that way."
Cricketer Shaun Tait to make Bollywood debut?
Australian cricketer Shaun Tait has been approached to step into the acting pitch in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's directorial "Kai Po Che!" He is expected to play a prominent part in the movie. "Kai Po Che!" is the big screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's book "The 3 Mistakes of My Life". It features Sushant Singh Rajput, Amit Sadh and Rajkumar Yadav in key roles. Since cricket is an integral part of the film, production company UTV Motion Pictures is on the lookout to cast a prominent international cricketer to cast.
Richa Chadda to play don in 'Fukrey'
Actress Richa Chadda, seen in crime thriller "Gangs Of Wasseypur", is set to play a mafia don in Farhan Akhtar's next production "Fukrey", a comedy. Richa has been signed on for a significant role in the film. Her character will be called Boli Punjaban. "Yes, Richa Chadda has been signed for 'Fukrey'," Ritesh Sidhwani, partner in Farhan's Excel Entertainment, said in a statement. Atul Kasbekar, whose agency Bling! looks after Richa's work, says "Ritesh saw 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and loved Richa's performance."
Sunny Leone keen to do family drama
After featuring in erotic thriller "Jism 2", porn star-turned-actress Sunny Leone is eyeing family drama and says her next could be from the same genre. "Yes, definitely I am looking forward to a family drama. I want to do a family- oriented film. Hopefully, if things fall in place, my next would be a light-hearted comedy and a family drama," Sunny told IANS.
