'Aashiqui 2' likely to release on Valentine's Day

Producer Mukesh Bhatt says that "Aashiqui 2" shooting will start from next month and that they targeting to release it on Valentine's Day.

"We intend to release it on Valentine's Day because it is a love story," Bhatt told IANS.

For "Aashiqui 2", Mohit Suri will wield the megaphone. The cast has Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor.

"We won't be in a hurry. When we feel the film is ready and when we are happy with our product, we will fix our release date," he said.

Wrestling champion and veteran Bollywood actor Dara Singh remains critical, a doctor said Sunday.

Dara Singh, 84, was taken to the hospital Saturday following a severe cardiac problem.

"He is still extremely critical. He is under high dose of medication. I would not say he is stable," Ram Narain of Kokilabain Hospital told IANS.

"We are still trying to find the exact reason... He came yesterday with no pulse and low BP (blood pressure). We have to keep him on ventilator to get his BP and oxygen stable. Right now he is very serious," he added.

Whenever Bollywood stars indulge in philanthropy, they raise doubts of a personal motive. But actor-producer Ajay Devgn is emphatic that his short film on the burning issue of female foeticide has no commercial purpose.

Ajay has teamed with his actress wife Kajol for the social message-based short, which is yet to be titled.

"The film on female feoticide is not for commercial purposes. It is to create awareness. I think it's our responsibility to do something that will create awareness about the issue of girl child and female feoticide,"Ajay told IANS in an interview.

Yesteryears' superstar Rajesh Khanna who was admitted to a hospital here two weeks ago has been discharged, his wife Dimple Kapadia informed.

"Khanna is back home. He was discharged yesterday (Saturday). He is absolutely fine now," Dimple told IANS.

The 69-year-old actor, fondly called "Kaka", was admitted to Lilawati hospital June 23. His estranged wife actress has been by his side ever since.

Khanna was accompanied by wife and daughter Rinki Khanna when he was being discharged.

Commonwealth wrestling champion and veteran Bollywood actor Dara Singh is critical in a Mumbai hospital following a severe cardiac problem, a hospital official said Saturday.

Dara Singh, 84, was rushed to the casualty ward of the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital around 5 p.m. Saturday by his family members as he could barely breathe, said the hospital's executive director Ram Narain.
