Pakistani actress Veena Malik is excited about playing a double role in her debut Bollywood film "Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai". She says she is confident she will pull it off well as she has real life dual identities as well.
"Playing a double role in reel life is a new thing for me. But in real life, I actually play the double role of two girls inside me -- one is Zahida Malik and other is Veena Malik," Veena said in a press statement.
"I am sure if I can play a double role in real life, it will be exciting to play a double role in a movie," she added.
Himangini Singh Yadu has broken India's 12-year-long dry spell by winning the Miss Asia Pacific title. Vanya Mishra says it's a proud moment for the country and she hopes to replicate the feat by triumphing at the Miss World pageant in China.
"Every win at an international pageant is a proud moment for India. At this time I'm just focussed on my Miss World title and I hope I win millions of heart with the win," Vanya, winner of the Pantaloons Femina Miss India world 2012, told IANS while speaking on Himangini's win.
Burjor K Karanjia, renowned film journalist and former chairman of National Films Development Corporation (NFDC), popularly known as 'BK', died here, a family friend said. He was 92.
Karanjia passed away late Friday evening. He is survived by two daughters and a son.
Born and bred in Quetta, now in Pakistan, the Karanjia family moved to India after partition. Karanjia qualified for the Indian Civil Service. Karanjia had named his south Mumbai residence as 'Quetta Bungalow', which stood a short distance away from the historic Jinnah House.
