FashionDesigner Masaba to face cameras!
Fashion designer Masaba Gupta, daughter of actress Neena Gupta, is nervous about facing the camera for a commercial. "Will be shooting my first ever commercial and I'm pretty excited but a little nervous to face the camera," she tweeted. The fashion director of brand Satya Paul, the 24-year-old didn't reveal much about her association with the ad. "Can't reveal much, but it's for one of India's oldest car brands," she added.
My clothes not for size zero women: Manish Malhotra
Ace designer Manish Malhotra says that his designs are not for women who are size zero. He believes the size zero concept is passe, and that women concentrate more on fitness nowadays. "Size zero is passe. Women are fit today. Look at the actresses! Even with children, they look amazing. But my clothes are not for size zero women," Malhotra told IANS in an interview. He has designed costumes for a plethora of actresses like Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
Designing for tattoo artists excites Falguni-Shane
Indian designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock will design an underwater themed wedding gown for tattoo artist Kat Von D, who got engaged to electronic music artist Joel Zimmerman, a.k.a. Deadmau5, in December last year. "We are very excited about designing for Kat Von D as we have worked with her in the past. We have also done a photoshoot with her. This year when we met her at the New York Fashion Week, she loved our show and instantly requested us to make her wedding outfit," said the designer duo in a joint statement.
Second edition of Rajasthan Fashion Week announced
While Jaipur’s reputation as a luxury vacation destination is by now well-established, its emergence as a center of fashion is underway. On its second edition, Rajasthan Fashion Week is bringing burgeoning fashion scene to the city from 9th - 12th May 2013.

Good news for fashionistas! Designer Anupama Dayal's latest collection inspired from Bohemian culture and designs is now available online. Dayal has tied up with online brand perniaspopupshop.com, said a statement. From elegant saris and peplum blouses, the wide-range of collection is inspired from vibrant hand-painted textiles and needle craft techniques. Dayal has also used hand-painted fabrics like palampore, which is created using the kalamkari technique. Pop colours like bright red, pink, yellow and orange have been used.
