FIR against producers of Sanjay Dutt film
A first information report (FIR) was lodged against two producers of Sanjay Dutt-starrer "Sher" for allegedly defrauding a man of Rs.1.58 crore while shooting in this Rajasthan capital in July, police said. Surendra Kalra, who provided logistics support during the shooting of the movie, alleged that the various cheques provided by the two producers, Dhillan Mehta and Hiren Gandhi for his services were dishonoured, they added.
Ganesha immersion, Telangana bandh won't upset 'Rebel' release
Actor Prabhas-starrer Telugu action film "Rebel" will release Sep 28 as scheduled and will not be deferred in view of Ganesha immersion or Telangana shutdown, confirmed the filmmakers. The makers have have rubbished every rumour about the possible postponement in the release of the film. "Telugu action film 'Rebel' starring Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia and Deeksha Seth, and directed by Ragava Lawrencce, will release worldwide Sep 28," read a pressnote issued Thursday.
Priyanka wants desi touch to song's video
Bollywood's 'desi girl' Priyanka Chopra is back in Los Angeles to work on the video of her debut international song "In my city" and says she wants to add an Indian touch to it. "Off to rehearsal! Let's show the world what Bollywood is made of! Let's do this desi style," tweeted the 30-year-old, who is riding high on the response to her song, as well as to her acting in Anurag Basu's "Barfi!". Her peppy song "In my city", featuring international singer Will.i.am, was launched earlier this month. Her entire album will release after a few months.
Another horror film for Bipasha?
By Subhash K. Jha Bipasha Basu has tasted success with "Raaz 3", and is already working on horror film named "Aatma". She might soon sign another horror-thriller, being scripted by Vikram Bhatt. Post "Raaz 3", the director is frantically scripting a horror-thriller for Bipasha. This project would be launched as soon the scripting is done.
Dinesh Thakur passes after prolonged illness
Actor-director Dinesh Thakur, who appeared as one of the leads in 1974 "Rajnigandha", passed away here Thursday, after a prolonged illness. He was 65. Actor Raza Murad, his friend from the theatre industry, confirmed the news. "Dinesh Thakur passed away today morning. He was not keeping well since last three to four years," Raza told IANS. He is survived by actor-wife Prita Mathur.
