Sonakshi Sinha wants a simple, beach wedding
Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha says that she wants to be a simple bride whenever she gets married. The actress walked the ramp for designer Jyotsna Tiwari Thursday on the second day of the India Bridal Fashion Week 2012, held in Mumbai. "I want to be a simple bride when I get married. I want a beach wedding where I am running around on the sand in a white dress," she said after the show.
Priyanka Chopra fulfils dad's dream with music debut
Actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her international music debut Thursday with the unveiling of the single "In My City" featuring Will.i.am., said she has fulfilled her father's dream of becoming a singer. "My parents got emotional when they heard the song. This was my dad's dream. It was my father's dream and he has come all dressed up and looking dapper today. My father is an incredible singer. I am happy my family, friends and everyone are here," Priyanka told reporters during the unveiling of her music single.
Yukta Mookhey accuses husband of abusing her
Actress and former Miss World Yukta Mookhey has filed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband Prince Tulli at a police station here, an official said Thursday. "Based on her claims, a non-cognizable offence has been registered. She claimed that her husband had abused her and beaten her up often," said an official from Amboli Police Station in northwest Mumbai said. Officials, however, refused to give further details and said that they have registered only an offence and there is no FIR registered in the case yet.

India's ace designer Ritu Kumar, who has designed the costumes for wedding sequences in Deepa Mehta's much-in news film "Midnight's Children", has used Kashmiri influences in her creations, and says it was an amazing experience to be a part of such a "mammoth production". "It is a great honour for me to be associated with such a large-scale film. It's a mammoth production with so many characters and it was really exciting to work on each and every one of them," Kumar said in a statement.
