Anurag Kashyap turns script doctor for 'Queen'

After producing and directing critically acclaimed and commercially successful movies, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has turned script doctor for Vikas Bahl's "Queen".

"It's great to have a script doctor working on your film. Someone like the sheer brilliance that Anurag Kashyap is works best for a film. We are very thankful to him that he came on board as the script doctor for the film," Bahl, who has written the film's script, said in a statement.

The voice of Assam's most celebrated singer and balladeer Bhupen Hazarika will come alive on screen on Friday with the release of the feature film "Akhon Nedekha Nodir Sipare".

Millions of fans across the globe will be able to hear the voice of the legendary singer in the film "Akhon Nedekha Nodir Sipare", titled "As River Flows" in English. The Hindi version, which will also be released soon, will have the same title.

Murphy Radio shown in positive light: 'Barfi!' producer

British radio company Murphy Radio has been shown in a "very positive light" in the film "Barfi!", producer Siddharth Roy Kapur said here Wednesday after the firm sent a legal notice to the team for using their trademark.

The radio manufacturer claimed that their trademark Murphy baby (Murphy Munna in the film's song) has been used without asking its permission.

The company now wants a stay order on the release of the film.

Kapur, however, said there was no infringement and they would respond to the notice.

'Barfi!' producer gets Murphy Radio's notice

British radio manufacturers Murphy Radio have sent a legal notice to the makers of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Barfi!" for using their trademark Murphy baby in the title track of the film. However, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur admits there is no infringement and they will respond the notice.

"It is true that we have received a notice for them (Murphy Radio). We are quite clear that we have done nothing wrong. There is no infringement on our part at all," Kapur, managing director Disney UTV, told IANS during a press conference here.
