Not length, strength of role matters: Jackie Shroff
After working for over 30 years in filmdom and giving some of the greatest blockbusters like "Hero", "Ram Lakhan" and "Gardish", Jackie Shroff doesn't worry about length of a role anymore. "It's not the length but the strength of the role that matters. Even if there are two scenes in a movie, if the scene has strength, I would do it," Jackie told IANS. Jackie will seen as a journalist in Dutch director Laurens Postma's "Cover Story", being produced by Glorious Entertainment.
'Gulab Gang' shooting to start in October
Actress Madhuri Dixit, who is making her second comeback in Bollywood with Anubhav Sinha's first outing as a producer with "Gulab Gang", is excited about the project and says that film goes on the floors next month. "Reviewing the costumes and schedule for 'Gulab Gang' with Soumik Sen... 'Gulab Gang' looks way cool. Something for everyone...acting, dancing, song, and action sequences. Excited," the 45-year-old tweeted. "Shooting starting in October. The film should release in March," she further posted.
Priety Zinta's 'Ishkq In Paris' wraps up
Actress Priety Zinta is happy that her debut production "Ishkq In Paris" is wrapped up and she thanked the cast and crew for their support. "Finally we wrap 'Ishkq In Paris' shooting! Movie is finally over. Cannot believe it! Thank you everyone," tweeted the 37-year-old. Directed by Prem Soni, who earlier worked with Preity Zinta in the Salman Khan-starrer "Main Aur Mrs. Khanna", "Ishkq In Paris" also features Arjun Rampal and French actress Isabelle Adjani. The movie will also see TV actor Gaurav Chanana in a pivotal role. The film releases Oct 5.
'Barfi!' selected for Busan fest
Director Anurag Basu's forthcoming film "Barfi!" has been selected for the 17th edition of Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the film revolves around a fun loving deaf-mute boy (Ranbir Kapoor) and an autistic girl, played by Priyanka Chopra. "There is another good news today for 'Barfi!' team and fans, we got selected for Busan film festival!! Thanks UTV," Basu tweeted. The 10-day film festival, that is considered one of the significant events in Asia, starts Oct 4 at the Busan Cinema Center.
Expect fireworks at Bollywood box office this Diwali
This Diwali, the Bollywood box office is expected to be on fire with two major releases - Shah Rukh Khan's yet untitled film with Yash Chopra, and Ajay Devgn-starrer "Son Of Sardaar". The buzz is strong for both projects, which are most likely to mint at least Rs.100 crore, according to trade pundits. Both the films have a special advantage - a clean week before and after their release Nov 13.
