Salman Khan tops Sunny Leone's co-star wish list
Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone teamed up with Arunoday Singh and Randeep Hooda in her Bollywood debut "Jism 2", and now she has expressed a desire to work with Hindi movie star Salman Khan. "Whoever wants to work with me, I want to work with them. But Salman Khan is on the top of my list," the 31-year-old said here Sunday during a visit to a theatre for a public interaction. Recently released "Jism 2" was promoted aggressively before its release and Dino Morea, co-producer of the erotic thriller, says it's important to promote a film after it hits the screens.
Bollywood condemns gurdwara shooting
Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are "pained", "shocked" and "sad" at Sunday's attack on a gurdwara in a Milwaukee suburb in the US. They have expressed condolences to the victims. The attack in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, left seven people dead, including the shooter. Krishna displays handcrafted embroidery, French knots at LFW
Designer Krishna Mehta displayed her ethnic Indian creations at the Lakme Fashion Week 2012's third day, celebrated as the Indian Textile Day. Krishna's collection featured a wide range of Indian ethnic wear including lehengas, stylish blouses, detailed embroidery work, Lakhnavi embroidery, cut works, French knots among others. "My collections are all handcrafted which is specialised more on antique embroideries, lehengas, and a lot of detailing on each garments," said Krishna, adding her outfits can be teamed with various other garments to get a more stylish look.
Preeti Desai dazzles in white lehenga choli for Anita Dongre
Designer Anita Dongre showcased her "Urban Princes" collection on the third day of Lakme Fashion Week 2012 Sunday with Preeti Desai, in a dazzling white lehgenga choli, turning a show stopper. Anita's fashion line was a range of trendy collections including cigarette pants, lehengas, saris, jackets, dresses, blouses among others. "Through my collection I tried to show textiles in a young contemporary way so that the youth likes it," she said.
Two awards for 'BA Pass' at Osian's film fest
The Ajay Behl-directed "BA Pass" was named best film in the Indian competition category of the 12th Osian Cinefan Film Festival, while actor Shadab Kamal, who played a gigolo in the film, won the best actor award as the 10-day event concluded Sunday. "BA Pass" also features Shilpa Shukla. Ajita Suchitra Veera won the award for best director for her film "Ballad of Rustom" while actress Rii took home the best actress award for the movie "Cosmic Sex". "Hansa" by Manav Kaul got the audience award and the critiques award.
