Abhay Deol all set for some action!

Abhay Deol, who has never tried his hands at masala action film in the past, will be seen doing some hardcore action in Prakash Jha’s CHAKRAVYUH.

Says the sources ,“The film is based on Naxalites and Abhay is playing one in the film, while Arjun (Arjun Rampal) plays a cop. So, the nature of the film is such that it requires a lot of action scenes in the forests.”

Ileana D’Cruz, who is making her Bollywood debut in the much talked about film BARFI!, is all gung-ho about her role in the film. The movie is a love triangle and Ileana will be Ranbir’s love interest as well as the narrator of the film.

However, what many don’t know is that Ileana’s role was earlier offered to Katrina Kaif. Interestingly, Kat also gave a nod to play the role. However, that didn't work due to date issues, says director Anurag Basu.

Filmmaker Karan Johar Monday said that legendary love sagas does not inspire him and he believes in recreating new stories for his films.

"Everyone wants to make a legendary love story. But 'Laila Majnu', 'Romeo Juliet' have already been made. I don't think history inspires me, I would rather create stories," said Johar, at a promotional event of Bela Sehgal's "Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi".

He was speaking after unveiling of the film's second poster, which depicts lead pair Boman Irani and Farah Khan dressed as Rahul and Anjali from Johar's own "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai".

Indian contemporary fashion will be talk of London Sep 3-5 with Sotheby's opening an exhibition of designer wear and interior decor by celebrated designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

The exhibition, "India Fantastique" will coincide with the launch of two volumes of books about the clothes created by the designers and the history of the Jani-Khosla label. The couturiers celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, Sotheby's said in a statement Monday.

Rajesh Khanna discharged from hospital

Two days after being hospitalised, veteran actor Rajesh Khanna was discharged from Lilavati Hospital Monday and is "fine" now, said a source close to the family.

"Rajesh Khanna is fine now. He was discharged today (Monday) afternoon. He was accompanied by his family members," the source told IANS.

Khanna was admitted to Lilavati Hospital June 23 and spent two weeks there before he was discharged. He was admitted there again Saturday following "weakness".

The actor has been battling health issues since April l when he was admitted due to weakness and fatigue.
