Real-life crime cases have always inspired filmmakers and it seems Aamir Khan is bitten by the same bug too. The story of his upcoming film "Talaash" revolves around a murder and reportedly it bears resemblance to much-publicised Aarushi murder case.
Director Reema Kagti and producer Aamir, who also plays the lead in the film, have reportedly studied the way police in Delhi's suburb Noida handled the Aarushi murder case and then how CBI went on to re-investigate it.
Aarushi, 14, was found murdered at her parents' Noida residence May 16, 2008. The body of her domestic help Hemraj was found the next day on the terrace of the house. Her parents are accused of murdering both their daughter and the domestic help, and destroying evidence.
If sources are to be believed, the makers of the film had asked for newspaper reports on the challenging case, which continues to puzzle them.
They reportedly wanted to know why was Aarushi's case transferred to the CBI and what were the shortfalls in the police investigations.
However, when contacted, the film's spokesperson refused to comment on it.
The film, co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Aamir, also features Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. It releases Nov 30.

If you know everything about talaash the story, plot, climax and think that it is predictable then i can easily predict what crap dabangg 2 is about.
just same story of a cop fights with different goons and challenged by a different villain. finally he wins the battle and kills him. Noting new
Agree with Sat, 2012-10-06 16:59 — Anonymous. I feel the trailer showed too much. People would have thronged to the cinema halls *JUST* because it was a highly anticipated Aamir Khan movie. They did not need to show so much of the plot in the trailer. I don't think some anon on PV gave away the plot because it was all visible from the trailer itself.
I am pretty damn sure that Aamir is not the killer in this movie. This is going to be one heck of a thriller movie! And it's going to do great business even if some jealous fans of srk give away the plot as soon as the movie releases.
What is the point of publishing this story when Farhan Akhtar has denied the resemblance with Aarushi case outright on Twitter? When the film's co-producer has denied the story then why is PV allowing users to post rumours?
People can keep posting rumours as much as they want but nothing can spoil Talaash. Public will throng to watch it in theatres!
And those who are saying Talaash won't be anything new, I'd like to ask what will be new in other films like Dabangg 2, Khiladi 786 or zillionth romantic film JTHJ? Those awaiting yet another romantic or masala film should not be raising questions on novelty of Talaash. A suspense film is anyday more novel than a love story or masala film!
All this is not true. See farhan Akhtar's tweet -

Disturbed to hear fake news about Talaash being inspired by Aarushi case. It is NOT. And the story alleging it, is in really bad taste.
the trailer basically spoiled everything. if you piece the scenes together you get the whole plot in those few mins of the trailer. the film is nothing you haven't already seen a milliong times already.
I hope the film is a hit...I hate it when people try to jeopardize others' hard work. Shame on the losers who leaked the plot. OTOH, if this is all Aamir's master plan then I'd be thrilled!
You know the anon who leaked the storyline was right. I had my doubts but the tag line of the movie is Answer lies within....which clearly means Aamir is the killer and is schizophrenic.
Too bad, now I dont feel like watching the movie. whats left??:(
Oh uh, looks like the anon who revealed the plot an story of Talaash on Pinkvilla after release of its trailer was right!!! So Aamir khan is the killer of his own son in the movie and now they are releasing such info to do some damage control! Too bad, once the story of a thriller is revealed, it is no more a thriller!
pr try to gain interest because plot already revealed.
