Actress Aishwarya Rai's post pregnancy weight gain is the talk of the town, but fans aren't happy with the debate and urge everyone to leave her alone.
A poll conducted by Yahoo showed 64 percent of the respondents have urged people to respect her privacy and leave her alone, while 36 percent felt Aishwarya needs to lose weight.
The actress gave birth to daughter Aaradhya, her first child with actor Abhishek Bachchan, in November last year. Post delivery, she has gained weight, which doctors say is natural, but people are critical.
The actress recently made an appearance on the red carpet of 65th Cannes International Film Festival as a brand ambassador of L'oreal Paris. She also attended amfAR (The American Foundation for AIDS Research) dinner held at the Cannes, which helped raise funds for the fight against AIDS.

According to u and likes of u, each and every article that is defending or praise ash should be her PR work. People like u believe that even international websites(who splashed the news two weeks back stating that indians have lashed out at ash for gaining weight) happen to be ash PR. If i go by what u have said, then ash must be one of the wealthiest persons in the world to own a PR machinery as huge as this one and while in the interviews, she maintains that she does not give a damn about what people think and u r saying that she is using her so called PR machinery to get into headlines?? Use ur logic for once please.. Why would ash want to drag this weight gain issue endlessly for which she has received harsh criticism in the first place?. The fact is Ash is a bigger name in the showbiz and her name sells. She is already a superstar. She does not need to play cheap media games to remain in the news. Would it be ash's fault that media always uses her name to sell their channels or websites. Even if she sneezes also, that will get reported. That is the star power of ash.
In the midst of all this controversy of weight gains .. I was wondering why amitabh bachchan The Great had not blogged or tweeted yet as is the usual PR practice of Bachchan brand. Remember the " If you every say anything unacceptable about the women of bachchan family you will have to answer to us men of the house!!!!" There was a studied silence for a while and now that dear beloved daughter in law is back from Cannes after "showing them all what Aish's reach was!!!" he has gone all melodramatic about the cross that celebrities have to bear. He should be thankful this media cry was made or else a really out of shape Aish would have gone to Cannes and be shamed internationally. This was a wake up call and for all her tomtoming that she isnt dieting its pretty clear she toned down pretty well for the Cannes...
If you dont want media hounding you dont provoke with tweets and blogs and titbits shared by your PR.. you just asking for the brickbats as well. so many other actresses have gone through motherhood with the weight gains and losses but they really guarded their privacy just the way they wanted to ... Kajol being the best example.
So I would suggest to media ..really leave the bachchans alone..focus on other celebrities... in a few months Aish will be coming out wanting to show her baby to the world
Weight gain is fine. But when you are going to the Cannes or any major function, a celebrity at least loses some weight. In modern world, it is very easy to lose weight temporarily. Maybe she is having depression??

What do you mean? The stuff SRK has been doing these days deserves criticism. Having an affair with PC, slapping people, abusing innocent securtiy men.. blah. Compare all those "crimes" to gaining weight after pregnancy... I'm sure you can judge which deserves more criticism
I read an old interview of hers where she says amir khan told her that during the oscars people asked Amir abt aishwarya. And she goes on & on abt people being struck by her beauty. It's one thing for somebody else to talk abt her but for herself to blow her trumpet.. jeez & this is not the first time, that why I cant stand her
