Shekhar Kapur's long pending project "Paani" will go on floors in April next year, says the filmmaker.
"I am right now doing the organisation-related work before I start actual filming in April next year," Kapur told IANS on the sidelines of a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) summit in the capital Tuesday.
"Paani", based on water wars, will be produced by Danny Boyle of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame. Its music will be composed by A.R. Rahman.
The project was formally announced at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in 2010.

i, as an audience member, kinda not trust shekhar anymore. he has gone out of his game because of his now-irritatingly-regular appearences on each and every show and talking about cinema cinema cinema and not doing any work. he is becoming a baba ramdev of talker.
nvrdless.... danny is a fabulous film-maker and we audience do trust his vision and sense. hope it will be an affair to remember in good sense...
ps: i lyk what others wrote about ages. the film PAANI seems like a never ending pyaas since ages. hehe. lol :P
he still hasn't started production yet... I heard about Paani ages ago.... wow.
at last!! paani has been in the making since vivek and aish were a couple and they were originally supposed to star in it. in between there were reports about hrithik, but it will probably be ranbir or someone now.
i'll believe it when i see it! been hearing about 'paani' for the last century or so.
