How to prevent Split Ends ?

I have had split ends for an year now. People say trimming your hair helps to vanish the splits. That didn't work for me, I really want to curl/straight my hair.
If you know any products / Tips / that will get rid of the split ends.. Will you please let me know!

unfortunately the only waqy to get rid of split ends is by getting them cut completely.

you possibly left too long in between your last haircut so the split ends have travelled up half way of your hair shaft - they will go but getting a good few inches chopped off

once you have had the corrective cut - make sure to go for trims every 6-8 weeks.
