The list of participants for the upcoming season of the hit reality TV show, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season Four, is out. No, don’t hold your breath for any A-listers — it’s a slew of starlets who’re setting out for the stunts, making industry insiders frown.

who never quite did it, has reportedly ditched Star Plus’ Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla to participate in the Colors show, hosted by actor Akshay Kumar.

Other contestants include Bigg Boss Vindu Dara Singh’s wife Dina and MTV VJ Bani, item girls Kashmera Shah and Sambhavna Seth and actor Aarti Chhabaria, last seen in the Manoj Bajpai starrer, Dus Tola.

“They have chosen people who are known more for their publicity-seeking antics off the camera. I doubt if we really need such TRP hungry contestants,” says Pooja Bedi, a former contestant, joking, “Why did they leave Dolly Bindra out?”

Model Nethra Raghuraman, the winner of Season One, says, “I am really surprised at the list. I think they need people who are more than just known for their controversies. The show is about gutsy stunts, not drama.” Others wonder if the show is on its way to becoming the next Bigg Boss.

“I am sure the makers are trying to do a Bigg Boss. Such attention seekers would ensure that the channel gets enough TRPs, and the viewers, their masala,” says former finalist Urvashi Sharma.
The show is set to hit Indian screens in May.
