What is up with these deluded Madhuri fans? Yes, Madhuri is a great actress and even better dancer. But no way can she be compared to the talent Sridevi possesses. Madhuri never carried a film on her shoulders. She never had heroine oriented hits. Sridevi had Nagina, Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Sadma, Judaai-- all HEROINE oriented and big hits. All of those movies are remembered for Sridevi, not for the actors in them. No actress has done that since except now Vidya Balan. Sridevi was number one from 1983 until 1993. This magazine is from 1993, and it still doesn't label Madhuri as number one. And Sridevi never played a supporting role, and in her latest comeback HIT, she didn't even need a hero. Madhuri has never been able to do that. She played a supporting role to Ash Rai in Devdas. Sridevi immediately shot to number one after her first hit in 1983. It took Madhuri 6 years after her first hit in 1988, and 10 years after her entry in 1984, to get to number one. Sridevi is hardly a thing of the past- google it, she has and continues to grace more magazine covers than Madhuri. No actress has made a successful comeback in their 40s until Sridevi.

I cant really understand y these actresses fans r fighting for what? There are lot of actresses who perform and dance well shobana,Revathy,vijayshanthi,radhika, suhasini ,Radha they all are best actreeses before these two

I agree only partly..... the above ladies have proved their forte in acting ... only radha and shobana can dance not the rest more over..............none of them are as versatile as Sridevi when it comes to acting.....they know and have spoken about it with lot of respect to Sridevi...so who ever u are just correct ur knowledge

Whatever Madhuri does,

Sridevi follows the same.

When Madhuri Dixit made a

comeback, Sridevi became

desperate to act and even

demanded her hubby to

remake Mr. India. She

didn't want to be

ridiculed so waited for

the right script. EV looks

promising by it's promos.

When Madhuri made her

debut on TV, Sri followed

the suit and did some

tacky shows like 'Malini

ayyer' and some dance

reality show which nobody

watched. Madhuri's TV

debut was also a disaster

as it was ahead of it's

time. But she outshone

even SRK and BigB by her

next show 'Jhalak Dikhla

ja'. JDJ never got that

kind of TRPs as they got

after Madhuri was onboard.

Now, when Madhuri walks

the ramp, the next day we

hear Sri is doing the

same. She has some kind of

complex from Madhuri as

Madhuri over took her No.1

position in Bollywood. Madhuri is the real winner

Sri only made faces and irritated at times by her baby voice which looked too fake. Madhuri was warm, feminine, composed and gave very controlled performances. Sridevi fans try to prove a point by writing absurd in these forums and you tube videos but the fact is Madhuri outshone Sridevi completely and it's a thing of the past. Madhuri was, is and will always be way ahead of Sridevi. She made great choices in life and left movies at the peak of her career unlike Sridevi was kind of asked to leave.

Madhuri good but sridevi is great fantastic I love her

Sridevi is in general a better actress, a better 'acting' dancer (she stays in character while she dances) and is very versatile.

Madhuri is a competent actress and a perfect dancer. BUT she always dances as herself, and never really stays in character. The only film in which she did that to a certain extent, was Devdas.

Both of them are very beautiful. Sri has beautiful eyes, a voluptuous figure. Madhuri has a beautiful smile and is, in general, slimmer in her films. Sri has more 'fat days'.

Anyway to sum it up: both are wonderful and have to be respected for really pushing themselves. They must have worked very, very hard, BUT it's Sridevi for me:)

Madhuri is a better person, a better actress. Sridevi is overrated except that are comedy is very good.

Madhuri is a good dancer.. What else? nothing

Sridevi is the COMPLETE PACKAGE. She is a treasure

Madhuri has better luck here. Because she is a really bad actress yet she is compared with the best actress (Sridevi). Indeed MD is lucky

And a better human being too! She doesnt steal husbands (first Mithun and then Boney). What was particularly disgusting was that Mona Kapoor lent her a helping hand, gave her a place to say at her OWN house, only to get poisonous bite from a snake like sri. I can NEVER be forgiven.

Madhuri is the most overrated. She got lucky to be compared to a legend like Sridevi, otherwise she is not a good actress

I am a SriDevi Fan from my chidhood and still obbessed with her charisma.

Madhuri is surely a good actress but Sridevi is class apart,Sridevi belongs to a different pedestral.

Madhuri gave hits but Sridevi gave us classics.....Sadma, Mr. India, Chandni, Lamhe.....And English Vinglish for sure!!!
