niri- my friend yes it does cost alot to fix things... just dont expect to see the result in 1 sitting. after all you are trying to fix God's bug in you ... i will cost :)

ok so i went for the

ok so i went for the micordermabrasion..and it was great...but not worth $100. it made my skin smooth but didnt lighten the pigmentation. the therapist said i would need atleast 5 treatments for desired results which becomes unbelievably expensive for me so i guess i'll just wait for a while and go for another one. but overall, it was ok

Aveda is good if u do not

Aveda is good if u do not have any skin problems like acne etc..i had been to Aveda last year and they use aroma oils instead of creams/ gels and that makes my skin develop acne. I think more than the place u need to make sure that the therapist is able to understand ur skin type and help u pick up a facial that suit ur skin...gd luck!!

well, i got a spa sydell facial 2 weeks back and i am surprised how my skin looks fresh and beautiful now. I was using clinique for 2 yrs now and the therapist told me that i stop using the tiner as that is causing my skin to dry and also causimng redness. that really worked..i think those $100 bucks were well spent....!! Dont go to a cheap place, after all its ur skin!

Niri - Go For

Niri - Go For microdermabrasion. Trust me you will feel the difference.a new smooth skin..

Shristi's advise of looking around clients and talk to them and come to a conclusion seems a total BS.

hi shristi thanks for the

hi shristi thanks for the advice..i did think of getting peels but i have a friend who spent 400$ on them and ended up with her skin breaking out like crazy so i dont wanna risk anything...i asked the beauty therapist and she said microdermabrasion wont cause breakouts but now i m not so sure....maybe i'll ask different beauty therapist for advice. thanks again for the help

Niri, if you have oily skin

Niri, if you have oily skin you should be using a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil or QV for your face morning and night followed by an oil free moisturiser and off course spf.
I wouldnt recommend a Microdermabrasion for skin which is prone to pimples as this will make it worse by moving it from one place to another.
It terms of pigmentation - why not do a session of peels..not too strong.
Get to know your beauty salon, ask questions and talk to the clients that go there on a regular basis and notice their skin.

HI...i am going for my first

HI...i am going for my first Microdermabrasion treatment next week. i have oily skin and some pigmentation. although i dont have any pimples at the moment...is there a chance that i could get them after the session? i would like to hear from all those who have had microdermabrasion done before.did it work for u?? is it worth it? thanks...i'll let u all know how i go after my session.

The most important thing for

The most important thing for you girls to do is research - if your beauty salon distribute brochure's then take one and read it well, meet the therapist and ask questions, tell them exactly what your concern is..

i also want to get facial

i also want to get facial but i m scared that after spending alot of money i might end up with my skin worsening. i have acne prone skin so i dont want the facial to open up my pores and encourage pimples...any tips from anyone??

Hi Starz, Personally, I

Hi Starz,
Personally, I think it depends on what kind of facial your undergoing..ie - do you have dry skin, problem prone skin, etc?
I do a facial once a month and the results are immediately visible, when I look at myself in the mirror..Im like wow!
It also depends on what the facial consists of - cleansing, steam, extractions, exfoliant, peel, mask, moisturise..
Also, which products the beauty therapist uses..ie - brand.. (chemical/natural)
